Hi all - rest day for me yesterday. Can't decide between a swim or a run after work tonight; I'll figure it out. Also figured I should get my bike etc. in order this weekend with the VRAA ramping up next week.

Voo - gorgeous pics; that looks like one really cool trail run.

Nice workout, and good luck on the running team gig, Nettie

Maureen - trust me, you're probably a lot more coordinated dancing then a whole lot of us over here (definitely more than me)

Brandy - funny we talked about The Time the other day; I checked out iTunes and saw they had finally gotten their Pandemonium album (verrry underrated, IMO) up for download. Interesting thing was that LP was the very last cassette tape I ever bought, so I jumped on that op as soon as I could.

Dang, Theia - if Jillian ever moves on from BL, ya' should apply to be her replacement; ya' got me tired just reading that.

Nice run Myron! And speaking of which, gotta' run myself - good runs & workouts to all

Looks like a really nice place to run Voo.

I'm back from the punishment.

Went to the gym at the height of its busy-ness, so 30 min on the TM was all I got (3.5 miles).

Also, I need new shoes. One pair is dead and the others are on their last legs. They don't make this model anymore, so it'll be interesting to see what I end up with.

Morning. I did a 10 miler last night. Was fine. I think the total time was around 1:14. Felt good aerobically, forgot Bodyglide and my body isn't used to the shorts running yet. For some reason I get chafed right where the tag would be (no tags on the shorts). It's just plain weird. Loads on my mind this week, so the run at least felt good.

Nettie and Larry - I felt a little puke come up just thinking about those workouts. Ouch.

Voodoo - Where do you run? I love running on trails like that. I wish we had more secluded trails here in Minneapolis. Except the lakes during the summertime.

Myron - Nice mileage totals. The 200 mile mark is especially good in a shorter month. At least we have the extra day this year, gives me the chance for a respectable total.

morning all

6 miles last night- the middle 4 all below 8:45 and the 1st and last about 9:30. not a true speed workout, but my legs hated me virtually the entire run so it sure felt like a speed workout. today is a crosstrain on the ellip night plus I have volleyball .

Holy carp LL that sounds painful!!!

Nettie how far below your goal marathon pace do you try to run your mile intervals?

Voo wintery running (as long as there are no ice issues) is so awesome. there were big fluffy snow flakes fallin last night during my run...just love it.

Blanket hello to eveyrone else!!!

Great news Cus!

PTom - yup 3x1 mile. Though my breaks were much longer than yours and my intervals that much slower.

Baggs - Hearing you say that makes me feel like less of a wuss.

Dom- Uh, let's see 10:19 minus 8:55 equals 1:24 minutes slower than goal marathon pace. I think.

Oh yes, the lakes!

That trail is the one I log most of my miles on. It's called Sand Run Park. They plow and ice it in the winter. No bicycles allowed. Normally, there's quite a bit of traffic on it. It's only 3 miles long, but there's a mile-long stretch after you get to the end that goes through a residential neighborhood to a mall. And the beginning of the trail is about a half-mile from the Erie Towpath Trail, which I also run on a lot.

Noice!

Congrats Cus.
