Wow, you're fast, I'm thinking about getting there at 3-3:30 PM, but will probably still be there at 5:40 as I want to work out first before running for 90-120 minutes. See ya later today.

BTW- Mrs Johnny cleared to drive, much to her relief.

dude, I ran 12 this weekend-and that's my long run, so 22 is a bit out of my reach...

I don't have to worry about SS being behind me, she'll be quicker than me fer sure, so no problem there.

Awright. Now you're entering the Silly Stratosphere (or is that mesophere?), Dale. I just like tawking tuff with Pro.

Still, I admit, I'd like to see you guys welcome me to the finish. I'll be the Screaming Banshee with Hair on Fire.

Guinness a plenty here - we're awash with the stuff - Not that I drink it!

The weather has actually been OK-ish this last 10 days or so, settled, if not spectacular. Given teh lousy summer we have had, I'm enjoying it - At least its' dry!

Afternoon everybody

As always impressive runs and times for you all. I guess we are once again doing our own thing? yes.

I got in 6.3 at 1:00:56 today. It was one of those days when I had decided not to go out. Then I decided to go out for a little bit and then I just said what hell are you doing? This is how you eneded up not running for three years you Bozo.

So anyway I am feeling happy and good and my pace was the quickest so far. Yes i am a God a very slow one but a God none the less.

Peace

Raining and dark = TM. Actually, either one alone = TM for me!

I am looking forward to meeting up with everyone at Hartford! I'll have to see what works out.

8 miles for me tonight - just finished before dusk. 8:20 pace overall. My main road off of mine to and from is all chewed up - hard to get any footing at all on it! They replaced a drain I go by a while back and put big orange and white stripped can on it because it's higher than the road - but it makes it difficult to go around when the white line is right there and on coming traffic is going 50 mph. I hope they pave soon!

I'm now going to take the rest of the week off running.I got to work today and could barely walk to the office. After an hour or so I started feeling queasy so I went home, prolly not enough recovery time.

Hope to be back better next week...

Hally would be my choice, she's greta!!!

But Tamashortskirtalina would be a good choice too!!!

Thanks Rich for all your hard work on this site,I appreciate it...

Two good runs today. Overslept but got in six this morning with our dog Chase who is a year old this month. Enjoyed the 49°'s but think sleeping with the windows open and the cooler evenings is helping me to sleep in. I miss the early sunrise. Took our dog Jake out for 6 this evening.

Hmmm, I see the smilies are back and did we have a font option before??

It's still quite warm here in Southern Oregon, close to 90°F, summer's last hurrah I suppose. Anyway, I went to the gym and did an interesting workout. Picked an easy 10:15 pace and ran the first mile @ 1%, 2nd @ 2%, etc. on up to the 5th @ 5%. Flattened it back out to 1% and ran the 6th mile at 8:30. By then the Tamster showed up, so I slowed down to a conversational pace. (At least, that's what I told her, , I was tired.) 10 miles in about 1:45

Tomorrow I'm driving to Bishop, CA, about 550 miles away, for a weekend backpack trip in the Sierra's. I'll find a place along the way to run 5 miles tomorrow, 22 on Sunday, and then drive back to Oregon. The b-pkg will seem like the easy part.

Evening mastermeisters!

Went to the gym after work and John was finishing up his 2+ hr workout! I did 3 miles on the TM, then stopped and did leg weights for abou 10-15 min then did another 2.5 miles and incorporated in some speedwork, with my fastest speed being a 7.5 min mile . . . but that only lastest about 1/4 mile! LOL

thanks for the vote of confidence in throwing my name in the hat as moderator. Hally and Mill are both excellent choices as well.
