Oh! I forgot to mention...I mentioned I had a phone interview last week? They called last night (LATE! 8pm! I was at rehearsal!) to tell me they want me to come in. I also saw two other jobs I could do well posted, so things are around. I won't say looking up, but at least I'm seeing jobs I could and would like to do.

I'll let you know post-Chicago

Scratch - extra yummy yogurt vibes out to ya!! And eh, my stomach regular makes those gurgly noises - sometimes during a race ...just ask T-Rev, even he heard em.

Morning all,

1st cup o coffee going in now, chasing it with some oatmeal. I have a couple of reports that I have to bust out for some meetings later today.

QOD - In theory, I'm so not a morning person. But I kinda want to be one. Anyway, early training runs and getting up as part of DD's get ready for school ritual has moved my outa bed time way up. On LR mornings, I'm up around 4:00. On mid-distance run mornings around 5:30. On no run in the morning mornings, I get up about 6:45. I'm usually at my desk in my office by 7:45. Oh yeah, and I also have early flight mornings to travel for work. That usually has me getting up between 4:30 - 5:00.

Like Jerry Seinfeld said: "Night guy always screws morning guy!"

Good Morning Everyone!

I tried to watch the finale of Last Comic Standing last night (even though all my fav's were gone). However that became derailed when Carrot Top was the opening act. I can't think of anything more un-funny than Carrot Top. I think shortly after he started, I fell asleep sitting up... on the couch.

I think Survivor starts tonight! Wooot!

My bad.

For Solitude:

49. What is your favorite position?
50. Do you like to karaoke?

Good wishes going out to Shaggy and Frankie's FIL.

Very true re: Maria's gurgly tummy. I could hear it while running next to her.

No ADK photos yet - I think it's a member of the ADK runners club that takes them, so it usually takes a while before they are posted.

Good news re: Maggie.

Congratulations to Moon on the new watch/HRM and extra big kudos to LLsantaberg for his generosity.

QOD - I am so NOT a morning person. I woke up at 7:45 this morning (usual time is 7:30) and had to talk myself into crawling out of bed and getting ready for work.

Good runs to all.

Morning My Pretties,

I went out for 4 miles this morning before getting the kids off to school and this is what I saw.
One big hawk eating a very large rat. ewww...
One fender bender. yikes!
Five young boys with shapely legs walking to school in Togas? Ooo la la! and...
One 13YO (mine) walking into the high school parking lot just as I was running past the parking lot. He totally ignored me! The little bastyboy! I know he saw me, we made eye contact and he smirked then when I made a little wave he turned his head to see if anybody saw that maybe he might have made eye contact. Then he went all stiff in the body and kept on walking. He never looked back once! He's getting gruel for supper for sure!!!!!!!!!!
It was quite an exciting 4 milles...

Here we go:

Solar: Damn, Girl! Those legs are fine!

Kris E. : 1000 Miles in the year! WooHHoooo! or what is it that you say...? Nar nar!

Welcome Solitude: If you hang with us will you have to change your name?

Frankie: Gorgeous Babies!

Congrats Moon!
Congrats LLyouhavemyvoteformayorberg!

{{Scratch}} so you chose your life over that of an innocent little racoon? I would have to...

Good luck Maureen!

HH! Good job on that workout. How's the chest cold?

QOD: I used to be a night owl and I still am, but running in the summer has forced me to become a mid morning person. I usually wake up around 7 am. now. sometimes 6:30. anything earlier than that and I have to reevaluate how much I want to do whatever it is that is getting me up at that time.

morning everyone,

had me a TC marathon dream last night...crossed the finishline and the clock said 3:54:28. It will be sort of fun now to see how close I come to that number.

CONGRATS MOON

Happy Day before Friday to eveyone else I am missing
Good luck Maureen on the job search stuff.

oh and QOD- I am sort of both as I operate fine at about 5 hours of sleep a night.

if I had to pick one I am a morning person though.

Winter my 7yo DS is starting to signs of that, I can still tell him I love him when I drop him off in the morning, but it is high fives and not hugs anymore.

Hiya folks. Rest day.

QOD: I used to be a night person, and did alot of 3rd/graveyard shift work. But now my running has me getting up at 5am, even on mornings I'm not running (HATE THAT!!). If I could be completely selfish and didn't have to work I would prefer staying up till 1am and getting up at 10am. Even at work I'm a slow starter, I have to screw around for an hour or more before I feel the need to be productive. ugh, I hate me.

Prae I had heard the Pittsburgh Marathon might make a comeback in 2009 - is it official? The last I saw about a week or two ago was that they were not going for 2008 but rather 2009. I'll have to warn my brother-in-law (from North Side) - he might get back into running if we can run onto Heinz Field again!

Moon Congrats on the GPS system from LLWarbucks - no doubt my number was pulled and then you somehow firgured a way to steal it from me! LL - Joe's address is the same as mine so just ship that thing here and I'll make sure he gets it. Very cool gesture - you've got some good karma headed your way from the Running Gods (and I should know since I'm one of them!)

QOD Depends on the morning. Sometimes I get up and get rolling no problem - it's easy when I'm meeting someone for a run. And I love getting up and getting the day started right. BUT - if I don't have a run or something fun scheduled, I hibernate as long as I can and then feel sluggish all day. If I could only get the entire family to go to bed earlier!

Survivor China does indeed start tonight - looking forward to it, as always. When does Amazing Race kick off, anyone know?

Here's your What the...?! of the day. What's next trading them like baseball players, and free agency?

Pacer -- The marathon is not official, as in, they have opened registration, but by moving it to 2009 (couldn't pull it off by 200, it looks likes it's a go. I don't think it ends at Heinz Field, though. When I looked at a description of the old course, it looks like it ends at the Point. But what a route: Zoo - Lawrenceville-Strip-North Side-South Side-Oakland-Shadyside-Point Breeze-Homewood-Morningside (I think)-East Liberty-Bloomfield-Downtown-end at the Point. That's at least 3 bridges (16th Street, West End and Birmingham). Jill, Cus can't I get you guys interested, too?

Also, Amazing Race isn't on the fall schedule. I understand from Entertainment Weekly that it's going to make its appearance after the first fall show is cancelled. Hopefully that will be soon, as AR is my FAVORITE show.

Later.
