Well, yesterday I said what our plans are for the weekend. You'll be free to join us at any time during that stuff. The only time we don't have a plan is for Saturday night, so we could meet up anywhere then. We'll stay in touch...

I need a coffee IV STAT! Oh my, I'm tired this morning. I have GOT to get more sleep. My bad summer habits are lingering and it's just not cutting it. I know some of you have way worse sleep troubles than me, and I don't know how you do it.
 
NM is on my list of places I'd love to see. It looks like it is beautiful country. Maybe someday I can talk DH into a summer road trip with the kids out West.
 
I miss Ann around here. And I'd love a donut too.

Funny: Dh just came out to the kitchen looking all disgruntled and said, "Sweetie? GAME ON!" So I listened for a second and could hear the chirping. "Little F-ckers! Didn't I kill like 12 of them this summer???"
 
Heh. The chipmonks are invading the front porch again. Ok, that part isn't funny, but watching Dh go all Carl Spackler on them is.
 
I smell varmint poontang. And the only good varmint poontang is dead varmint poontang, I think.

G'morning all.
 
Instead of getting up at 6 and getting a run in, I smacked the crud out of my alarm clock and stayed in bed, snoozing off/on until 7:30. That was sort of fun. I also had a brownie for breakfast. Definitely fun.
 
Not fun: Knowing I need to mow the grass after work today. Yuck.
Not fun: Updating about 2700 more usernames/passwords for work stuff.

You can borrow my cat. She is the chipmunk destoyer. It is crazy because she is this tiny, old cat with no claws, but she catches them constantly. Then she literally eats the entire thing minus its nose, some unidentified organ, and part of the tail. Ick. Worst is when she sneaks them into the house. She ate one and left said parts on the oriental rug in our bedroom (thus disguising it) and DH stepped on it with bare feet. Double Ick.

I spilled coffee all down the front of my white shirt so I ran out to my car and got the only shirt that was in there.... yes it's clean. But it's blue and is almost an exact color match of blue of the cargo pants I'm wearing.

I have to laugh, because I've outsmarted even myself. My enemy, my foe, is an animal. In order to conquer the animal, I have to learn to think like an animal. And, whenever possible, to look like one. I've gotta get inside this guy's pelt and crawl around for a few days.

Holy moly, did we have some thunder storms last night and early this morning! And the rain! It was so loud, the whole house was shaking at one point. And the kids slept through the whole thing. I think we got more rain from this storm than we did from Earl on the weekend.
 
I had toast and homemade blackberry jam for breakfast. Yummy!
 
Gave away two things to people and made them happy today. : )

No donut for me today, but I have Swedish fish for the drive to the airport and the wait for the flight. I had a few just now just to see if they made the trip from my house to my office ok. Seems to be fine, but I may need to check again multiple times this morning to be sure. I also have crackers and grapes for the drive. Definitely not a Solar-worthy supply of travel snacks. (The airport is 1:45 away and I'm going between lunch and dinner, so I need a snack.)

good morning!
 
allie had a good night which means i'm semi-coherent this morning - yay! she had an appt yesterday and gained one whole pound since her last visit 10 days ago!! the pedi told me i was doing a terrific job w/ breastfeeding which was super encouraging!
 
tonight, 5 of the girls i work with are dropping by w/ dinner so i'm looking forward to that.
 
mom leaves sat morning and i have mixed feelings - anxious that i'm losing so much help but at the same time, ready to have some breathing room. MIL comes next wed so i've gotta enjoy my time w/ just dh and the baby!!
