We had roofers show up at 7:00 a.m. this past Saturday. Thanks a lot.

You and the boys should load up and come visit me this week. Monkey would LOVE it and we'd have a live-in babysitter, DD13 (oh, excuse me.... almost 14 as she reminds me daily).

Jaw still hurting? Does ibuprofen help?

Kit - I ended up cooking the gravy and the green beans when I got home, so not TOO bad.

She picked up about 4 eggs for Easter and then went off collecting sticks in the yard, but I don't think she got what all the fuss was about with the eggs. Fun and beer was had so no complaints from me!

I'm glad you had a good Easter, jeans. GL running today!

Thanks for the well wishes for ds. We have an appt at 11:40. I just did 30 minutes on the bike and will do yoga tonight after the kids go to bed.

Jeans - OMG - what a racket that must have been!

batmomm - so sorry about the early roofers. At least roofing is a really quick job and they shouldn't be bugging you for long.

lame - I got the kids starburst jelly beans so I wouldn't eat them - I am old school - only like the original flavors from when I was a kid.

I don't have it, but you may want to direct her to the colon issues thread on Coolrunning here:
http://community.active.com/thread/1...t=15&tstart=60
I hope the link works because I had a heck of a time finding it! (stupid Active!) Anyway, there's a ton of different issues discussed in there and maybe she'll find some helpful info.

Gaela, we don't have anything going on fun either and the girls are already cranky. Wanna meet 1/2 way? Is there anything 1/2 that isn't VA wilderness?!?!

Enjoy your Monday everyone!! My post cruise/Eater diet begins TODAY!! Although I did sneak a monster cookie for breakfaast but in my defense it had oatmeal in it!!

My girls are fighting and have been fighting all morning. I have sent them to their rooms twice already. If we are going to have a good spring break together, what am I going to do? We can't do anything "fun" until they clean their rooms. I am worried that this entire week will be fighting them to clean their rooms or fighting w/ them to stop fighting. DD7 said she was "bored" and I said, well write down a list of things that you would like to do this week and she said "I can't think of anything". AAARRRRHHHHHGGGGG!!! Any advice?

KEMP - saw a cartoon on PBS this morning called "Super Why". Just thought DS would like to know....

Morning everyone. Back at work after Spring Break. I was glad in a way (since DH is driving me CRAZY), but I sure miss my little girl.

Swam 900 yards this morning. Wallowed in self-pity for a while, since I stopped because my arm was hurting. WTF? Oh well. It will probably be better tomorrow. I actually STOPPED when it started hurting. I was SMART for once. But it still pissed me off. Rested yesterday completely. I'll try again tomorrow. I got a new pull bouy and some hand paddles this weekend and wanted to try them out.

I am using my injury(ies) as a way to get REALLY good at swimming (if my arm gets better!!!). I plan to give myself at least 3 weeks off running and cycling. If at the end of 3 weeks my knee still hurts to bend and walk, then I will re-evaluate. During that time, I'll keep going for Graston and ART. Hopefully with complete rest and the PT, it will fix the problem.

Thanks for listening. I had a frustrating morning and the Multi-Sport people already had to listen to my whining. Sorry if you frequent that board as well as this one.

Hi everyone-

Ds has a friend over so I only have a few minutes. As soon as they realize that I'm in a different room they'll need me for something!

I did a 30min run/walk this morning and my knee was kinda sore but not terrible. I guess it's OK as long as it's not feeling worse but I was hoping it would be all better by now. I know I'm on the right track but it just seems like it's taking forever! I also did some PT exercises in between making playdough, playing trucks and dressing dolls.

Really busy day here today so I gotta go. Hope you all have a great day!

KKR - I remember having the "Star Wars" soundtrack on 8 track in our house.

DB - My first few cars only had AM radio, also and they were not older than me!

Abb - Sounds like you are on the right track. You'll get there in time. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel! I've actually gotten to the point that I'm hesitant to run because I'm afraid I'm going to do something to my knee again. After all the hassle I give my PT guy about wanting to run (he has a good sense of humor) and now I'm almost afraid to!

Chosha - we still have Sweetart jelly beans in our house and they are dangerous!!

Nicole - I hate it when vacation week starts out that way!

Staci - have a good day!

Gaela - I hope your friend finds an answer so that she can keep running. How frustrating!

Good job to all of you who got out there this morning and hit the roads or TMs, cross trained or lifted wts!

Nicole..... Could you plan one "fun" activity per day as their reward for not fighting, doing their chores, etc. Have they seen Horton Hear a Who yet? Do you have a Botanical Garden? Ours had lots of kid friendly activities going on last week (for spring break). Do they like to swim in the indoor pool at the gym? What about a super duper playground? We have one called Kid's Space and it's made of wood with all kinds of tunnels and stuff. What about a trip to McD's or out for pizza? A trip to Baskin Robins for ice cream? Do you have a Sci-Quest (hands on museum)? Also, look in the paper for places that are having Spring Break activities for kids.

Good luck. Nothing worse than fighting kids.

Sisu - Sounds like you are busy today - good luck with the extra kid! You are doing great with your recovery. I know how scary it is and how you lose faith in your body. But, you are following all of your guidelines and taking it slow. It is frustrating, but you will get to where you want to be.
