Hup, not sure about MAC's but in Windows irc client if you do this command
/server chat.oncomputers.info:7000 (hit enter)

Then when it connects do /join #coolrunning

You could also do /join #icug
If there are people there you are on the right server.

Pie, I already have a bike rack. It's a PITA so I am buying something where I can throw it in the back with out a lotta hassle.

Sierra, it was good to see you in chat, don't know if you saw but if PRT wants their own room I can arrange that, or 30's too,

Car Shopping
I wanted a CRV, I looked at the RAV's, Rogues's ,Foresters's and Escapes.
I put a deposit on a Rogue that is available and a CRV that is due in 3 weeks.
I had to go for the top package w/o navigation on the CRV cause without leather the seating and cabin is really kind of ugh. The Forester is really nice and I get an invoice price through my company but I wanted to be up where all the rest of the cars around here are so I can see past them.
The Escape looked nice till I went to Consumer Reports, also a great deal through my job. The Rogue is new but it's a Nissan, which I have and like, it's got an Altima engine in a mini Murano body, and it has a premium package which gives it some nice perks. But I will probably take the CRV.
At least I am done with the shopping now it's just the deciding.

OH, I did not run today. After all that shopping I needed a beer.

Hi everyone, I had a gym workout this evening with 35 mins elliptical, 10 mins underhanded rowing, some flat planks (I don't know how to do side ones), crunches, and 10 girly push ups. Also 30 bench presses with just the bar. I felt better afterwards. My favorite uncle died last night and I was so sad about that; and am heading to western PA tomorrow with my mom (who is devastated). She and I will share a hotel room -- this could be interesting. Anyway, I'll probably be offline for a few days. Everyone, be good and run a couple of miles for me. DH is staying home to care for the dogs. Unfortunately, his birthday is tomorrow and I'll be leaving in late morning to head to PA. I'll have to give him a "special" birthday gift early in the morning, hehehe.

Hopin' your DH enjoys his "special" birthday gift.

riley....sorry to hear about your uncle. And, a guy really should have more than one birthday per year.

hally.....congrats on narrowing down the selections. I'm sure either will make you very happy.

Just over 11 miles this afternoon on a beautiful day. I routinely rely upon the water fountains in a local park, but they have now been turned off for the winter. I'll have to remember to carry some fluids on longer runs from now on. Luckily I wasn't going far enough today to really need any.

Susan, I'm sorry about the loss of your uncle. Sharing a room with your mom might be "interesting", but I'll bet it will be a comfort to her. Have a safe trip, and we'll take care of things around here while you're away.

Hi all, finally getting around to reading today's thread.

ksrunr, you continue to amaze. I bet you're just as impressive in real life.

Nice runs and XT today, even car shopping (I guess the Hummer didn't make the short list ). Pie, the water fountains are off here too, even though the weather is still quite mild.

Susan, condolences on the loss of your uncle. I'm sure you'll be a comfort to your mom.

11 miles for me, with a 5K race (report where it belongs). This was more mileage than I planned way back when, but I had to meet my commitment to Orange Shorts and the Marines.

So many impressive runs today - both from racers and those that went out running. and ksrunr - 50 miles??!! wow. that's serious biking!

Riley - my condolences on the loss of your uncle.

hup and sierra - nice to see you two posting here more and looking forward to more regular chitchat on the master board with you both. Sierra - I always enjoy playing the daily trivia. I suck at it and am almost always at the bottom, but it's fun playing.

I still have two days left of my wknd YAY! Tomorrow will just be a low key family day, church in the a.m. and then who knows what in the afternoon. I have dead bananas I think I'll make some bread with and thought about making some applesauce muffins too for after school snacks.

have a nice rest of the weekend all!
