G'morning! My interval training for Philly is in the books. Good riddance. 9.2M total this morning, w/5 x 1000m intervals. The one regret thus far with my training is that I never figured out how to pace these stupid things. I did them all too hard, and my second interval was 11s faster than pace today. Yeah, I paid for that later.

Where are you going on vacay, Heather?

How's the codeine treating you Moe? I hope you continue to get better.

Nice job on the double, Tonya.

Sorry your date was no good, Nettie. I used to know some guys in Chicago, but I like you too much to try to set you up with them.

What's the sunny Philly sitcom?

Good to see you Lori! I hope work calms down for you.

Big day Sage. How are you doing?

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Hilarious! And some more 411 on the show.

Cool. Thanks Fast Maria P.

Afternoon 30's!

I work tonight so I spent a little time, ok so a lot of time, playin' poker online until the wee morning hours so this is kinda my morning. Couldn't get in here until later into the night because of the hacker. That seems to be a theme. Thanks for the ideas of bookmarking a different page than the main one. Sounds like a plan.

Glad to see you're having a little fun in your sick day, Moe

Tonya Great job on the double!!

Mary Love that you channeled Prae!! See Prae, you're a motivation to us!

Nettie Sorry the date wasn't anything to write home about, hopefully the next one will be better.

Did 60 minutes on the Elliptical last night and then five miles alternate walk/jog on the TM using various inclines. Darn that trainer!! A friend of mine has inspired me to look into the class schedule at the gym so I might try some TurboKick classes this week. I know some of you southerners aren't wimps and are running outside, but my sad self is waiting for the weather to cool off some more before heading back to the track again.

Hope everyone is having a good mid-week!

Oh! Bob and Beth I started looking at tickets for the SEC championship game last night and found that there's a waiting list that starts September first to be able to buy them directly if you're so lucky. I'm going to get on the list and look at some tickets through other avenues just in-case. Worst case scenario I can sell them on ebay if we don't make it or I have to work.

Quiet today! Lots of busy bees at work today, eh?

I have to leave for the airport at 4pm, so work day will be short - yay! But nonstop meetings until then - boo.

Moe - I've heard that pedicures have miraculous healing powers, so have at it. The doctor didn't give you a no-pedicure note now!

Nettie - sorry about the date - how immature is immature? I mean, I live with a man who has a lot in common with 12 year olds...

Yay Moon! - for finalizing Philly. I need to get signed up - I've been procrastinating out of superstition...maybe I just need a few drinks and it'll be taken care of!

By the way, Moe, if you're still looking at transportation options, I'd be up for carpooling. Boston is only 3 hours from Albany and the rest of the ride would be more fun/go by quicker with more people in the car...just a thought!

Okay, should go do some work. I'm almost home!

Oh, and running - unbelievable, I went for a run last night on what I thought was a 2.2 mile loop...2x would take care of the 4 I had scheduled. Well, those 2.2 went fast...turns out it was 1.6 (how could I have been so far off?!?), so I had to go down to the TM in the hotel and do a quick mile to finish up. Only me, I swan.

Tonight's maybe 2, or just some rest. I have a tender hamstring (from weed pulling Sunday!) and it deserves a bit of a break, methinks.

Meh...that's how I feel about the wrap I'm eating right now- usually I love it- but today, not so much (wheat tortilla, chicken, broccoli, bean sprouts, thai peanut sauce). For some reason I'm just not feeling it.
Nettie- bummer your date was meh too. Saucon- how long will it be for you? this is only my first- not the easiest year for sure but hopefully the Cali move will help. Has anyone heard from MHeaton lately? I'm sure she's busy with baby stuff but was wondering how things are. Craney- whatcha up to?
Oh- fort hose who were interested (Kriddie?)- my Enell came yesterday. Good god it is a straightjacket...but I hope it will do the trick. I'll report in once I'm able to run.
I may do a little jaunt on the elliptical after yoga tonight...shhh

Hey all,
Guess I missed the hacking fun yesterday...I checked this am and saw that ijit's artwork. I never really understood the vandalism/hacking mentality.

Haven't seen the post-weekend posts, and dunno that I'll have time to. But, I did see some good running this past weekend (and

Litch - give the bird some of his own medicine. what's that old rhyme, birdie, birdie in the sky, why'd you do that in my eye, thank the lord that cows don't fly, birdie birdie in the sky...

I forgot who posted that the Wave Rider 10 may be discontinued. 8M for me tonight.
Ciao

I haven't. I should email her. I'm sure things are busy, thinking back to how things were when I was getting adjusted to having a baby around the house

I've found that this guy seems to have all the information - here's his post on what's new regarding the Brooks line for Spring 2008. The Adrenaline is mentioned

http://forums.runnersworld.com/eve/f...3?r=3011093723

I was reading an older Readers Digest and the Health question someone had was "running hurts my knees". The official Dr reply was take a month off from running and then increase slowly no more than 25% per week?!?!?! WTF. I have heard the 10% run, but the question came from someone who was very overweight AND already having knee problems. I think telling them 25% is irresponsible.

Well, see I don't mind that type of immaturity. Perhaps immature was not the correct word even. I just suspect he has more interest in the contents of my jeans than the content of my character.
