morning- I am sluggish this morning- hopefully a cup of coffee will perk me up! LL- I think you're an awesome dad. You plan such fun activities for the girls. Diane and Moe- how are you feeling?? My stomach has been a bit off but I think it's stress. Things are still up in the air with the Cali house so not knowing exactly where we're moving in 4 weeks is a bit stressful. Dh thinks that now maybe they've decided they don't want to sell after all so they're procrastinating. Harumph. Maria- I was watching "Prime" the other night and they went to Magnolia's. Yum...I could go for another one of those. I've been dropping hints to DH about us going to NYC for our anniversary (sept 14) and since we won't be driving distance any longer...not sure if he'll go for it though...I'll keep you posted as brunch will be in order if you're around.
Gots to get ready for work.
So work is officially kicking my butt!!! I am working insane hours and barely have time to sit down all day to check in with you all!!! I have been so run down that I actually took Monday off for some R&R. A day of bad TV does wonders, I tell ya!

Been getting some workouts in, nothing to write home about! But it is better than nothing I suppose! I doubt there is anyway I can catch up on all the happenings but I wil send out blanket hugs and good vibes to all!!

Hope to be around more often but that might be a little way away!
DW and I spent a while last night browsing the 1974 Weight Watcher Card site posted on another thread here... All I can say is thank you Diane for posting that!!! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. A warning to anyone who hasn't seen that site yet (posted in the 30's recipe thread). Don't drink while viewing, or you might ruin your monitor...

I'm having lunch with an old friend today. He just moved back to the RIC from Atlanta. It should be fun to catch up.

In other news... Jaeger has doggie daycare today.

East run for me tonight probably 5-7 miles depending on when I get home.
Good morning! Waking up with my coffee, Curious George is on the tube keeping the little ones entertained. Heading off to the gym in an hour.

Good luck on the house kj! Talk about stress.

Another beautiful morning here in PA! Good runs everyone.
As directed by my doc, I'm home from work today. Like I said yesterday, I must really be sick for the doc to tell me to stay home (she handed me a doctor's note to take to work.) All I know is I felt better about 2 hours after I took the antibiotics...and Robutussin with codeine ain't bad either. I might get myself a pedicure this afternoon though; no sense spending all day in the house when I'm not going to get any sicker getting my toenails painted, right?

Obviously, no running.
Hiya Gang. Had a good set of 2x1600 intervals this morning then some east running to get in a total of 6M. And we're finally getting some rain the last couple of day. Had to leave early and go home at lunch y-day to attend to my sick DW, flu-ish stuff.

Moe: Get better darlin'.

KJ: A few months back, DW and I flirted w/ the idea of moving to Cali ourselves (Fresno), we felt like we would've rented for a short time to avoid buying the wrong house. We like to get to know the cities we live in for awhile before buying so we get the right neighborhoods, schools, etc.
Had to come in through a back door, the main forum index page is hacked.

Tested my one arm negative chin last evening and it's getting stronger. I let go with my left hand and felt very solid with my arm locked in place while hanging from the bar, then tried letting it out a bit, did so, stopped the descent and held myself there for a couple of seconds, let the arm out a bit more, stopped the descent again and held, then finally let myself drop to the floor. The prior times that I had been able to hold the lock at the top and then let myself begin descending I couldn't stop the descent, now I've got enough strength to stop it along the way.

Let's hope the admin can get the site fixed and the security hole patched that's allowing some script kiddie to play havoc.
Morning all. Navigating around the main forum page to avoid that nasty hacker. Bastage! Anywho ...got in a really nice run last night. 11 miles with 4 x 1000 (at the track no less!). I messed up the math in my head and ran the intervals a little slower than I should have/would have ...around 4:25-4:35 so next time I'll plan better ahead of time. Oh yes and I also fell on the way over to the track ...eh, not sure what came up out of the sidewalk and got in my way but I managed to brace myself up top and not damage the legs. Just some scrapes on my right arm/elbow.

Planning for some easy miles today and then visiting with some cool 30s in the coming days!
Back in! Thanks Maria for giving me the back door link into this. Crazy h a c k e r. Grrr

Running - 11 miles last night in really humid conditions. I finished in 1:41, maybe. Garmin was wonky again so I had a 6:23 mile in there followed by a 12:01. ?? very odd. I did not run this morning. All of my running clothes are packed for this weekend and I really need new shoes, which I am getting today. yesterday was like running directly on the pavement. YUCK.
Did my 4 miles with hills last night in the rain - totally channeled Prae. I kept thinking, did she give up? No. So, can you give up? Dammit, no. So, THANKS PRAE!!!!

Biking home and running the driveway after work tonight, there is actually sunshine today so might even be a pretty trip home.

EQ - single ladies only on the dinosaur, eh? Well. I can understand that. I still think it's a cool pet, though!

I hope you all have lovely days!!
I dragged myself out of bed this morning (woke up about 45 mins early, too, with strange heartburn!) and got out for 3. I was at school last night till 9 pm. It was "meet the parents" night. Bah. 2 1/2 hrs. of "hi! nice to meet you! s/he's doing great!" Then as we could leave, a random parent came in and wanted to talk to me about her kid (who I don't know and don't have) and ask me about French club. We haven't had a French club in 2 years and she was sort of hinting for me to start one up again because she wanted her kid to have extra grammar practice? Um, no. Plus, it's just cultural stuff (food/movies and stuff!) I don't feel like teaching an extra class after school every week! She kept me talking for 20 mins. after we could leave.

I don't feel guilty about being 10 mins late to work this morning because of going running!

Maureen- hope you enjoy your sick day! Just be sure to wear closed-toe shoes tomorrow so no one is suspicious!

KJ- sorry about the continued house stress! It won't be much longer!

Lori- Glad to see you pop in, even if briefly!

Jill- jealous of the weather you have! We had 90% humidity this morning when I went running!

Ok, well, time to get back to work. Happy running folks! Humpalump day too! Woohoo!
Oh, and I meant to say "thanks" for all the coaching info/advice yesterday. I couldn't get on last night to do so, though!

So, thanks! In fact, Maria, on one of the sites you linked to, it had a program for training for the Atlanta M/HM (which is a few days after Philly). $75 including 11 sessions/runs, personalized runnign schedule, tech shirt and guaranteed entry into the Atl Marathon. (Does that mean the entry is paid for/included in the $75 or just that even if it fills up, we'll get a space?) I might go for that one, just to get a taste of training with a coach!
That reminds me ...LLZooBerg, what's the deal with that big balloon over the Philly zoo? Can you take a ride up in it? I see it floating above the zoo at times and then anchored down @the ground. Enquiring minds.
I did it!!!! I did a double yesterday!! This is my absolute first!! I am very excited, but today, I am very hungry.

I did a short swim (only 400 or so meters) followed by 3 miles on the treadmill. We had an ozone warning here yesterday and I don't need to stress my lungs, etc. that much. I felt good. Suprisingly good.
