Theia would scare the crap outta me if she were my instructor! But I bet I'd have a wicked core!

I was compared to Jillian from The Biggest Loser in one of my classes last week! I said, "I WISH!" in response. (I think it was because I was wearing all black that night. Honestly, hers is my dream body.)

My trainer used to make me do these all the time!!! We had a love/hate relationship! He actually made me do everything while standing on either a BOSU ball or balance pods. You can also get a good workout by putting the ball up against a wall, putting your hands on it and doing pushups (then work up to moving it away from wall) or even just putting it up against the wall and getting in a plank position (it will be modified but basically just get in a push up position on the ball but hold for 30 secs). Also some greta leg work can be done on the ball, the butt blaster is my favorite!!

I need to remember that for next time. I did use it when my water broke and I was waiting to go to the hospital.

Yeah, that's what my doctor told me. I wasn't read and I would be at least a week late. My due date was 6/14, this doctors visit was on 6/4 and my water broke on @2:30pm on 6/7 with her being born @4:20pm on 6/8.

Here's the latest results:

Highlighted records indicate a need for a change according to Bob.

HH, what is wrong with your back? Honestly, KP or Tonya might be better equipped to help you. I'm just a lowly fitness instructor.

And to make it perfectly clear... I was not compared to Jillian because of looks or build (DAMMIT). I was compared to her because I'm a mean instructor!

I had double microdiscectomy and last year, and I still have residual pain.

I know that a stronger core will help my back...but a weak back makes it hard to build a stronger core...
Catch-22, if you will...

Wedge your balance ball in a corner (you want it stable, so it doesn't move). Lie on your back and put one foot (the heel) on the ball, raise up from your hips and lift the other leg straight up in the air. Lift and lower your leg (about 5 or 6 inches) You will never come all the way down, you will be raised from the ground (your butt/hips) the whole time. You will pretty much feel it immediately so you will know if you are doing it right! It is a really great butt workout!!!

I have some things my coach gave me to do, I will try to find the exercises and share with you. I have a ruptured disc in my back and have to be very careful what I can do. But I agree, Tonya and KP might have some great ideas for you!!!

Thanks Lori. I'd appreciate that.

I guess I've missed what Tonya and KP do?...

Yeah, way out of my league. If you came to my class telling me that, I'd make you leave and come back next time with a doctor's note indicating what you can and cannot do.

HH - we are both certified athletic trainers (see www.nata.org for more in-depth info). Tonya teaches, and I am on the clinical side - day-to-day dealing with injuries.

And while I appreciate the props, I am extremely hesistant with surgical cases over the internet...would honestly suggest seeking out someone in person.
