Yay, Dan! Great race! Congratulations!

Congrats, too, to JenRuns on another speedy time!

oh, and Moon - I keep forgetting to comment on your awesome VRAA reports. Great reads!

Great job 2oh! What was your previous 16 mile PR?

I made it to the Y while all of the sick kids and DW napped this afternoon. Got 7 miles in on the TM, then stretched and lifted weight for another hour. Combined with 45 minutes of snow shoveling and dragging the kids around the block on the sled and I should sleep well tonight!

Moon, I hope that toe works itself out for you. I'd do everything possible to get it re-aligned if possible. You know how a wacky toe makes for a wacky gait, then a wacky knee then a wacky hip then a wacky back, etc. I've seen the damage a lingering case of turf toe can do to a talented college player. Get better soon, brother.

Whoa!! Jen and 2oh...amazing!! Dom, congrats on the PR and I really enjoyed your RR

Wow, some more great races! Congratulations to Jen, Myron, and 2oh!

No running today, but I did just do a 40 min strength video (Katholeenie, it was the butt tape one) so I could keep to my XT schedule and earn some pts for my VRAA team. I'm hoping it warms up tomorrow as was forecast a few days ago. I haven't checked the updated weather report, but I'd love to do an outdoor weekday run tomorrow.

Nice work, Jen and 2oh! Great races all around this weekend!!

Hey all,

I'm back from Disney. Great job to all the racers. That's a smokin fast time Jen...looks like some good racing for the Minn peeps. Nice job 2oh.

I got out this afternoon for 17 miles. My knee felt pretty good during, but is a little sore now. We'll see how it goes this week as I pile the mileage back on.

Good to see the Athens talk here. I need to get registered. My plan is similar to Myron's. I'll drive up on Saturday from my parents house in Knoxville, and then drive back to their house on Sunday afternoon after the race and the eats. I hope my knee gets better and I'll be able to make a speedy run at the BQ. We'll see how everything goes.

Later All,
Saturday morning I ran in the Mardi Gras Mambo 10K here in Baton Rouge. I decided a couple of weeks ago to do it and nope I didn't tell anyone I was going to do it. It was my first race. I went by myself but when it was all said and done someone screamed my name when I crossed the finish line and I ran into some people I knew. My time was 1:06something, they haven't posted official results yet. I was pretty pleased with this because I figured it would be much worse than that. I had originally planned to walk more and I only walked for about 20 seconds the first time and 10 seconds a 2nd time. Good race for me overall, learned a lot from the experience.
