Morning Runners!
I'm up with a cup of mud waking up enough so that I can drive the 25 miles in to run with the group.
I got a new under armor wicking shirt for super cold weather. Its way heavier, but not as soft. I'm hoping it won't irritate me. I'm sensitive. I'll wait for you to stop laughing.
Anyway, I've got 5 on tap.
21* and wc of 14*. I just put on tights to wear under my regular pants....
Good runs to all!
Anyone racing this morning?

I've been up since about 4:30. Play around with the pull up bar some. I'm going to wait for it to warm up before I run though. I've got all day to choose from so I like the idea of it being above freezing. It seems like the older I get, the less I like cold weather.

Wow.. lots of folks are up before 7:15am!

As soon as the dogs are done with breakfast, I'm hopping on the Tm for 8.0 this morning. zzzzzz.

I'll probably get some assisted chin-ups / pull ups in today, too. Gotta start somewhere on those, right?

Good luck to our racing folks today! Kick ass!

It's minus 20 C. I'm not sure what that is in F. Cold. For sure. I was supposed to go with the group for a 13.5k run, but I just couldn't do it. It's supposed to "warm up" to minus 10 later, so I think I'll go then. I do need to get out of the house.

Good morning, folks. We're in CT this weekend visiting my parents. Jillian has been here once before, but just for a day trip. Last night was her first night spent at her grandparents' house. So far so good.

I'm about to head outside for about 13 miles. Two weeks until my marathon, so I'll be sure to keep it nice and easy. It's 26 degrees outside, which is chilly but not too bad. Should be a good run...

Good luck to all the racers this weekend!

Back from 12 miles with the club. The route CoachT planned for me got vetoed. We ended up running a really nice route through the park and some horse farms. Both trails and road with a ton of hills. Very challenging run.

Hi all -

All right, I admit it...I skipped my workout yesterday! Mentally, I was driving home from work saying *I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna* - and took the first opportunity I found to have an excuse not to (movie time!).

And I kind of don't want to today either. I suppose it's not a surprise that I'd feel funky about running just as my leg is starting to let me. I have to mentally charge up and really get back into it. It's been long enough that the habits are definitely somewhat broken.

So, I'll work that out.

In the meantime...GOOD LUCK! to our runners this weekend...who is today?

Good runs to all

Back from 5.17 in 1:02:47. Which at 12:09 m/m isn't spectacular...it is pretty freakin fast for this kid at a longer distance.

Ran with same lady from the first week. She's a immigration attny. Really nice lady, and I think she made me run faster. Between her and the happy guy singing Tom Jones at the top of his lungs for the first quarter mile...this may very well be a good group for me...

Have a pup who very much wants to go for a walk....

Back from a 13.2 mile run around my old home town of New Haven CT. Average pace was just about 9:00/mile. I ran a portion of the New Haven 20k course, plus I ran past my old high school, middle school and elementary school. None of those schools look like they did when I went there. I guess it's been a long time...

Roo, congrats on a fast run!

Good luck to anyone racing.

I put in 8 miles this morning. I have more miles so far in January (48.9) than in any of the 3 previous months (all right around 30... pathetic, I know). I won't get higher than September (60.3) but should get higher than last August or April, which are about 51-52 miles each. Needless to say, I ramped up my mileage quite a bit this month, and I can tell. My left knee is complaining a bit. I'll have to be careful to not overdo things and get a real injury.

No run this morning but I can breathe better today (woohoo!), so I might walk Gus up to the yarn shop. He knows where it is and sits in front of the door waiting for me to catch up & open it. Dork.

He could stand more than that (2ish miles round trip) but that's probably all I'll manage.
