You don't have to buy the Nike shoes. There are a couple of websites that sell pouches the sensor fits in. I met a guy at the Twisted Ankle Trail Run who uses it that way and he said it was as accurate as if it was in the bottom of the shoe. The trick is the sensor has to be firmly in the pouch but the websites show you how to attach them so you get accurate results.<br><br>
The Nike plus system is $29.95 at most stores. I wear Asics shoes and although I field tested some Nike's I decided to stay with the Asics.<br><br>
