I REALLY REALLY want to do this, but don't know if it is possible. I will be getting off a cruise ship that morning and spending the rest of the day in an airport/on a plane. If I could just figure out how to run some laps around the airport or if I thought I would have any energy left when i got home, I'd sign up in an instant!

I ran the Nike Women's Marathon last year and it killed me that I wouldn't be able to go back this year. This would be the next best thing.

You should do it, crazyfrog!

That's so cool, crazyfrog! I want to do this! We could all run the Half together virtually.

Giggly, that's your cruise down here, right? Are you flying home out of FLL or MIA? What time is your flight? Maybe I can help you figure out where to make it happen?

But, you also have to pay a $45 entry fee and buy their Nike+ system which might just end up covering the cost of buying the keychain yourself

Oh, I know of the big peach! I was in GA for the marathon in March, so I know they had some literature among the goodie bag. Happy shoe shopping!

You don't have to buy the Nike shoes. There are a couple of websites that sell pouches the sensor fits in. I met a guy at the Twisted Ankle Trail Run who uses it that way and he said it was as accurate as if it was in the bottom of the shoe. The trick is the sensor has to be firmly in the pouch but the websites show you how to attach them so you get accurate results.

The Nike plus system is $29.95 at most stores. I wear Asics shoes and although I field tested some Nike's I decided to stay with the Asics.

I'll look up the websites and post the link.
