Name your 2 favorite TV shows that are currently on the air now.

I think mine are NCIS and Flash Forward. I could list a bunch of others that I really like but these 2 just sneak into the top spots I have a bunch others that I watch also.

6 uninspired and blech miles for me today. I just didn't want to get out and run. I am glad I ran my course reversed so it forced me to get my 6 miles in. I didn't find a groove in my run until about mile 4.5. Ugh. I followed it up with my normal Tuesday Thursday Abs and arms routine.

Hi FB & Pink. I catch The Mentalist and Psych when I can, which is not often.

Pink set the acronym usage bar pretty high today. I wonder if anyone can do better?

30' easy run with Reggie
30' steady rowing

Winter is staging a comeback here today, with cold wind and snow.

Just to let you know that the March miles have been tabulated, although the combination of the time of year and my just getting back from a vacation mean that I have a rather large to-do list and didn't have time to do more than the basic statistical analysis. Maybe I'll be caught up by the end of this month.

http://www.kickrunners.com/forum//showthread.php?t=65592

House and Lost, by the way. And 6.2 very sore miles yesterday, which I blame on not running while on the vacation trip, which ended with a 10-hour drive back home. Maybe a warning to me about driving too long a distance to a destination race?

The only saving stat yesterday was that I ran it in a very slow 63:30, which means that I still managed to run a "10K in less than my age" since I'm just over 63 1/2 right now.

5 miles beside a perfectly still sea, slightly humid, mild, with not a wisp of wind. (Sorry, mill.)
90' yinyasa coming up

I watch TV for a living, so unless I hear Sir David Attenborough's sweet tones on one in the Planet Earth series, it stays silent. Radio, though, yes.

Hi Pink and PinkDD! I'm eating faux piggies on toast!

Hiya.
No tv...we haven't had it for almost 2 years. Even when we had it I didn't watch much...things are way more fun and interesting outside!
Yesterday I ran 6 MP miles. Text from DS2: "Mike saw u running past his house tonight. He said u r a machine."
RAW 5 hilly miles planned.

Boston roads update as of 7 am:

Mileage numbers repainted
just over 1 mile out road repaved (I can bike much more easily)
parking banned for several blocks at finish line
jersey barriers moved at finish line to accomodate runners and spectators

and the excitement continues....marj

After five months, I am finally done with PT rehab for my knee. AFT!!! I had my last appointment this morning. And really, my knee only started feeling sort-of-normal about two weeks ago, so I guess that long of PT stint was needed. It just cost me over $2000. And so on top of my out-of-pocket surgery costs and MRI, my overall tab is about $10,000 for the knee fix. But it would have been over $30,000 if I didn't have health insurance, so I should not complain too much.

I am also going to see my orthopedic surgeon today which hopefully will be my last visit with her. She currently has me on a 20 MPW running limit. I am going to see if she will let me raise that.

Other than college football, I don't watch much TV. But I do like both Lost and NCIS too.

Plan on an easy 4 after work.

MARJ!!!! The excitement builds

Taking today AND tomorrow off. Still will get 25 or so miles before leaving.
Weather looks great save for the wind forecast. Irun can you do something about that please?

Plenty of rain this week still in S TX.

I don't have favorite shows anymore. Watch sports or history/science channels. Really enjoy "How it's made". Plus I really like "Pawn Stars" and "Pickers"

Morning all!

Marj! reading your post gave me butterflies in my stomach.
Lab, I hope you get the all clear to run a bit more. Lots of $$, but hopefully, the new knee will last a while.
Hey FF! It sounds like your son is proud of u.
Happy belated Bday to the Mrs, ks.

I watch what happens to be on the TiVo, which seems to be many varieties of Law and Order. That show has been around a long time. I remember getting a phone call from someone who wanted to find out what viewers would think if two of the characters got romantically involved. I was pregnant with my daughter (now 18 ) and told them I couldn't stay awake for a 10:00 show, and they'd better talk to my husband.

On the schedule for today was a 15min MP run in the marathon shoes. I put on my shoes and realized I had a blister on my heel from the street shoes I wore yesterday. I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with my eyebrow as well. Luckily a bandaid did the trick, and the run was uneventful.
4.3 miles with the middle two at 8:53 & 8:50.

I'm glad the knee operation has work out for you, Lab.

Since so many things are available for streaming, we had our cable cut off a few months ago and local reception is bad.
We get a lot of mileage out of Netflix for movies, TV series, and what-not.
We try to stay current with NPR radio news and stream The Colbert Report and Jon Stewart religiously 4 days a week

Rest day,
Good that you have things to look forward to now Lab.

Tks on the mileage summary Roch.

It is a spectacular day in N. TX, 71 degrees, cloudless and a gentle breeze. 6.5 miles at the park, 9:35 pace, felt fine. Did my flex workout afterwards.

I watch only baseball on TV, but the Saint and I rented last season's series of "Mad Men" and I confess to loving that show. Spareribs

Ever since upgrading to hi-def on-demand cable, I don't know how to work the remotes. So I don't watch. Plus, the only shows I like are on Showtime or HBO, all of which are in remission. Er, hiatus. heh, shows you what I think of watching TV

Yesterday's total distance ended up being 3.82 miles, of which 2.39 were running. Hardly worth keeping track, and the lack of a round number makes it even more so. Meh. Gonna take the bike out for an hour's ride soon. Hope to get to yoga tonight. We'll see.

Yeah, I know, can be more cheery?

ETA: Thanks for the reminder, Ribs. OK, so AMC isn't a pay channel, but still.

I watched the daily news in Chinese for 5 months and understood very little of it.

6.85 gentle miles on a overcast dewy, pretty morning.

My favorite acronym so far today is Labducks "AFT!!!"

ok, I do watch Colbert Report.......forgot it was considered television......

I watch whatever DH puts on. Usually it's SVU or American Idol or one of the comedies, such as Two and a half men. Sometimes he watches So You Think You Can Dance, or 24. My own particular favorite is The Office, but I miss it more often than I see it.

I'm home sick today with a terrible sore throat, a cough, and chills. I'm reading a good book called The Postmistress by Sarah Blake, and am enjoying it very much. I'll try to take a short nap later.

Susan

Susan, feel better. Speaking of reading (as opposed to watching TV), I just came across this, the ultimate book club (or non-club) of sorts.

Still haven't gone out, waiting on DS to put air in my bicycle tires. I know, I'm so kept.

Lots of sports on our TV----ice hockey, Olympics, NASCAR, basketball (UConn women on CPTV), golf, and football. My guys are the main viewers there, but some sinks in on me through osmosis. As for regular shows, not much. We watch the Inbetweeners and Dr. Who on BBC America and just now catching up with Breaking Bad thanks to NetFlix

4.2 easy miles this morning---gloves on again and frost on the ground. all good

Good and even better news soon I hope Labduck

{{{Susan}}}

OM, how did the ankle hold out?

I have to confess to watching way too much TV, but like Susan, mostly what my DH wants to see (being in charge of the remote and all!). We've really gotten to like Modern Family recently, and we're both big fans of Lost and Criminal Minds.

Am holding off running for another day, with a 50 min spin session this morning. Sore spot on the ankle is responding to the rest, ice and drugs, but very slowly. Called the PT before lunch to book a couple of sessions.
