I've gotten a couple games from eBay and I haven't had any problems. I think the key is to make sure the seller is reliable (i.e. has a good feedback score). Don't buy from a new seller. If someone has a feedback score of 100+ with nearly 100% positive, then you can trust the person and expect that your item (video game, or anything else) will work...

I've bought video games off of Ebay. Key with buying anything from there is to just check feedback. See what people say about the seller. Most of the time this is a good indicator if the seller is gonna sell you stuff that's in good working condition.

(And your sig line is gibberish. Careful with translators. They often don't work because they translate word for word, instead of putting things into the correct grammar of the other language.....)

Google is working on technology that will translate languages based on actual usage on web sites that have various language version. No grammatical rules or dictionaries, just mathmatical correlationa of web usage. Beta versions show much better translations than traditional tranlators that use word-for-word dictionary translation.

I think the answer is already out there, but all I did was replied to a message and logged in. I sometimes get "unlogged in" but don't know why. Also, I have not seen that multi-quote works on BB. For me anyway. I HATE HATE HATE deleting stuff on the BB, like when you are quoting a long message and you want to delete a bunch of stuff, you have to hit DELETE once per letter. Anyone have any tips for that?<br><br>
Both of my DS's have bought and sold stuff on eBAY, including games and stuff. They generally prefer to buy/sell video games at a local store as they have a 7 day "don't like it, return it for full refund" policy on used games and are very good about replacing defective games and game systems within warranty. As others have said, read the feedback and you should be fine. eBAY will also help if you get something that doesn't work as advertised. Both DS's are very good about looking at feedback before thinking about asking be to buy something. (they pay, but I have the PayPal and eBay accounts).

I just find online translators to be pretty bad. You may get lucky with a short, easy phrase. But for the most part, they can't work. Language is not a strict, programmable thing! Unfortunately, humans are involved and thus there are too many exceptions for every rule, especially with constructions like "can".

That is kind of the whole point of google's efforts. A strict translation of the phrase "He is out of his mind" to "he is outside brain", which makes no sense. By parsing billions of web pages, google learns that the phrase is more of a colloquilaism (sp?), and translates it appropriatly.

I just got back from bringing my Mackenzie to the orthodontist for a brace adjustment and a wallet pilfer. We went for lunch afterward, where we got into an invented word war. I wowed him with <i>Craptastic</i> and not wanting to be outdone as most 13 year olds are want to do, he came out with <i>Sucktasticle</i> only he was so exited to beat me at my own game that it came out as <i>Sucktesticle</i> with a boy becoming man pitch squeak at the end of it! I think he embarrased(sp?) himself....it's a good day.<br><br><br>
P.S. He called me a Fruitard as he was getting out to the car to go back to school.<br>
of course, that was after i told him to jump out while the car was still moving because i had things to do. (for those of you who think this is harsh, wait till you have a teenager in the house. trust me it is a coping mechanism)<br><br><b>Fruitard:</b> not a Fruit cake, and not a retard, somewhere in between.
