After seeing Cus' post, I feel compelled to stop feeling bad that I may have to take another day or two off for my hammy/groin/quad to heal up. It feels much better today than yesterday, though the painful part seems to be moving down along my inner thigh. Strange, but now the groin feels ok, the hammy just feels like it's really really tight, and the quad has a little pain. I think a few more days' rest will do the trick and since I'm still not officially training for anything, that's OK.

Cus - hope your bone knits together quickly before you go nuts...I know how I am after a few off days, I couldn't imagine weeks or (gulp!) months of no running.

Wow - people fighting over PacerNads...how flattering! The reason I couldn't reply to Theia's offer is that I swooned every time I thought of it and got too lightheaded! However, CoachT's offer was like a bucket of ice cold water snapping me back to reality.

And I'm not sure when I did it but I must have fractured my ass at some point in the past...in fact, I still have a really big crack right down the middle.

(C'mon now - you HAD to know that was coming from SOMEONE!)

Cashed in a gift certificate and got another new pair of shoes...so between stocking up when I saw a good sale on Pearl Izumi's, birthday/Xmas gifts, getting some freebies for the pace team, and this pair I just bought, I have 5 new pairs of shoes just waiting to get abused! I bought some Nike Skylons - seems like a nice lightweight shoe, good for longer distance racing and fast training. I was debating between those and the Asics Landreth, but I still have another gift certificate to use so I may end up saving the gift certificate to get some Landreths in the next few months. I feel OK about having so many new pairs of shoes as I cleared out my aging ones and donated them to the local running store's shoe charity bin.
