........sell..........

Interesting theory, Larry. I know my cadence is not as quick as it should be. I think I fear faster for some unknown reason.

AAinAArizonAA,
Nice run. I've been there on a hike once. Unspeakable beauty. Leaves you breathless.

Eat at Mi Nidito
http://www.minidito.net/main.html

Bill, Haven't heard from Meg in a while. I miss her, too.
And PBJ coined the phrase "unmiled time" When he and his family visited one summer, he mentioned his thoughts on this. I liked the term and today, I was finally able to use it.

Aaack... when eggs go on sale at the store, do you wait for them to go up in price before you buy some? Do you try to sell any you have because the price has gone down? No! You buy more! Sillies...

RE: time and age. Larry, my dad, brilliant geophysicist that he is, refers to it as the devaluation of time. Seems the older we get, the less we have of it to go around. I never knew what he was talking about when I was a teenager. Now I do.

Aija, yes, it's sad. -4 this morning on the way in to work. Oh well.

Spent last night sorting thru old stuff for goodwill, filing a pile of paperwork, doing laundry and getting my Arizona bag packed. And unpacked. And packed again. Aw heck, had to go to bed so threw everything in there in a heap and will do it again tonight.
5 miles on tap tonight on the treadmill. Don't know what pace or cadence will strike me...

Veeeery Interesting.

Can't wait for the PIX dAAve.

I XTed a bit and ran 4 miles
with about 2.5 upwardly mobile furlongs @ 5k pace.
trying to keep stride tight, heels high, and lene Forward.

Where is she
anyways?
Everybody can't sell....somebody has to be buying.

If my dunkin donut sponsorship comes through, the local cops might be facing a serious shortage. And I'm going to need a bigger backpack.

Feel better quickly Millbot.

The worst part about being an evening runner is the daily weather watch. If only I could drop everything and head out, it's very mild right now. Unfortunately, the wind is picking up, and dropping temps and rain are on the way by running time.

When riding through the desert for 2 days with vans full of runners, what is the general rule of thumb on number of air fresheners per square feet?

When driving through the desert with 6 sweaty runners per van for 24 hr, the guy who sells the pine tree air fresheners is going to have a good month. The rental car company on the other hand is going to spend a fortune getting the funk out.

Ran 9 with the setting moon, although a far cry from the sproinkiness
of the perch and pet, it was nine miles nonetheless. After 14 wks out
of 24 planned, sproniky doesn't come easy....sproniky is as sproinky
does.

I pulled up the results of the HM from this past Saturday and I guess there were 6 others behind me, instead of 4 like I thought. Even my best HM time would have put me towards the end of the mid pack people. As much as I like these smaller races, they certainly don't bode well as far as better placement overall because there are some fast runners here! I plan on running much of this same course this weekend when I do a 15 mile run.

I'll be heading to the gym shortly for a 4 mile TM run, then I'm off to Grand Jury duty for the afternoon. It's the last day and then my tour of duty is over.

..........buy.........

I could make a killing in the market, following the George Costanza theory of doing the opposite of what I think I should do.

It started snowing heavily here in Albania at about 12:00, right when I was innocently heading out for an easy 4 miles. It was an unusual run. I have been running at 10:00 pace lately, rather than mid 8's to lower 9's. I decided to run the first mile at an easy pace (shoot for 10:00) and then run 9'ish for the next two or three. Wound up going out in just over 9, hit 8:20 for mile 2, then checked my HR and it was around 160. Man am I out of shape. I turned and ran the next two in 9 and 10. Total of 4 miles in 37:00 and change. I am the heaviest I have been since I lost 40 pounds 5 years ago. I actually think I look better at this weight (around 200), especally in my face, than I have in some time, but I'm a little worried because my Blood Pressure has been sneaking up lately, too. I'm hoping that getting back to running more regularly will address the BP w/o having to drop 20 pounds. I sort of like me better this way.

It doesn't pay to be late to the doughnut shop.
Not only had they sold all their blueberry cakes,
they had sold every single doughnut they had made.

Would've had better
luck asking for cheese.
Aw, BTY, you're a handsome hunk no matter what weight. Less is better for running, though. If you have any questions about weight loss, winejunky is the guy to ask. Down 22, I think it is, since the New Year. Wowza.
Labduck, nice discombob tempo last night. Are we still on for Eugene Half? If so, please get more discombobbed. I won't be able to keep up.
I wanna run like perchcreek! Hey, and I did my best today.
((((millbot))))
Happy Birthday MrC!
PieJ, I enjoyed your post yesterday, mostly to see that you're back running but keep up the whining and cursing -- yeah, that'll be a fiver, please -- and it may just pay for a trip to run a relay. Yup, still pondering it.
Dirt (I think ongoing algebraic quizzes will get [me] the funk outta Van 1)

Okay. On tap 2k EZ, 4kx4:45/k, 40 mins @ 5:50/k (huh?)

2k @ 5:18
4k @ 4:45 (4:38,32,35,30) or avg 7:20m/m
7.5k @ 5:24 (even this felt like a snail's pace)

For my fren Mustang: I know, I know, but it felt easy and I didn't push. Last visit to PT and everything looks/feels great. I'm a happy camper.

And for everyone: Sorry for my silly outbreak yesterday.

By your avatar, sig line, and this great pic, looks like you're fully embracing the desert, Dave. Oh, and if you'll just clip that frond behind you? It'll do nicely. You can use it to fan the overheated goddesses after we run.
