Good day all.

Four mile progressive run: 7:38 - 7:20 - 6:58 - 6:42. The legs felt good this morning so I figured I would take advantage of it. I thought after last nights workout they wouldn't be ready for a run like that this morning. I am not complaining.

Hope everyone has great success today.

Did 75min on the Computrainer, cadence workout, including 30 minutes of SLT. If you can measure cadence on your trainer, this may be a good one for you. At least it will keep you busy while you sit there and watch TV.

Had to work late yesterday, so today's workout was yesterday's and yesterday's will be today. HUH?

Wednesday- 45 minutes on the trainer with some single leg drills just to feel inadequate. Followed by a lot of stretching

Tonight- 45 minute easy run and strength training.

Joe- My treadmill is in the office downstairs and the trainer is in the family room downstairs. It's awfully hard some nights to walk up the stairs to change- then to walk down the stairs to work out. So DH declares the upstairs off limits in support of me when I'm doing my thing. Trust me- they still sit around- computer, PS2, TV. But at least they're all there.

I have a garmin 301. I know it's not 100% perfect. I jsut think its funny when it gives me grossly wrong data. Although, it pisses me off when it won't give me decent data on a crystal clear day with no tree cover.

When I do a trainer/run workout--I do my trainer workout. I come in from the garage and switch from "bike" to "run". Sometimes I'll turn it off then back on again so it will start looking for a signal again. Then, I put it outside while I do a wardrobe change. Back outside, put garmin on, then I'm off.

Took 3 of my kids for a walk this afternoon. 3miles. 50* in January, we're gonna take advantage of it! Had the 9yo doing fartleks. Run to the whatever, then walk until I catch up. Bugger has some legs on him! Hoping to do a 5K with him later this season.

Some nice workouts folks!

3.5 mile fartlek run at lunch...worked out to about 6 30-second pick-ups.

Pool this evening. It's drill day!

Hi, I am new to this forum, coming over from CR. Today was a double day, starting with weight work on chest and shoulders. Then a morning 4 miler with running partners from the Y. Back into the weight room for tri/biceps work. Lunch time run around Lake Q. Great thing was both runs were done in shorts in January in New England. Who would have thought?

Not specifically. I was 4. But my babysitter, Beverly, who was a teenager at the time, was gaga over the Beatles. So, when she'd sit for me, we'd listen and sing along to Beatles records. (Yes, records. Those big flat black things with the grooves?)

I got squat. I've been in an off-site training program all day and now have to catch up. No workout. Squat.

Forgot to post yesterday... actually, didn't even log until this morning. So yesterday, upper body weights at the gym then a short easy run when I got home, cause it was still nice and warm. Today, half hour of swimming.

4boysmom, I know the feeling, I was once on a long run, it was last summer and hot, stopped by a vending machine, bought some orange drink... I don't drink sodas so I"m not familiar with the brands, and it was the most carbonated drink ever. I burped for the next 5 miles.

Joe, I have some basic stuff in my basement, quite separate, however I rarely use it. I've used it this week for the first time in more than 6 months. I either exercise outside, or prefer to go to the gym.

For people complaining about LP: I heard last year people saying that the HIM course at my first HIM is much harder than a LP loop.

Kelli, that sounds like Yassos... means you can do a 4h marathon

50min spin, 5 min run. seas too rough for me to do treadmill.

massage

Swim meet at the pool foiled drill day. Will try again tomorrow.

18.5 miles on the bike.

The rapids in the storm channel from the rain run off are gone now, but still water flowing in the channel. Some ducks, Pelicans and sea gulls. One woodpecker in a bush on the side of the bike path.

1500 yards straight freestyle swim - about 29 mins. Not going anywhere very fast - but did managed to throw in one okay flip turn (I'll take the small victories where I can get them), and am pretty consistently working on the bi-lateral thing (every other length).
