You could say that again!

I can't even figure out how one pisses oneself while running - I've stopped to water a bush before, but a question comes to mind while thinking about the logistics of peeing while running: Isn't something kind of pinched off so the flow won't go while you run? And is it like a sneeze - a quick spray of urine and that's all that slips out? For me, once the Yellow River starts going, it ain't stopping for nothing.

I got back from my run...it was an easy, pee-free running experience of 6 pleasant miles. I believe I farted once or twice, and I spit a few times but no waste materials left The Temple other than that.

LL - Thanks for sharing your story...I was having a crappy (or pissy) day before that. Now I can say I had a crappy day with a few laughs thrown in. Answer one question though - what was your thought when the rain started? I would have started laughing so hard there's no way I would have been able to run on the treadmill.

I'm certain LL would be happy to send you his workout from today...if you run a little bit faster, and a little bit longer, I'm sure you can work things out in the end. However, I would not recommend that workout to be run on your home treadmill, or at a gym where anyone knows you. Spring for the guest fee at some gym across town and wear shorts you don't mind throwing out, an extra pair of socks in case you need wiping material, and your grass cutting running shoes.

Asking for a friend - orthos and neutral shoes. Any recommendations? Here's the post - http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/sho...401#post981401

I'm late to the party but thanks for the LLaughs.

Day off for me today. I'm gonna attempt an early AM run tomorrow so I can hang w/DD all day. I think we're gonna go find a fun destination - a zoo, museum - something new for her.

And now for something a bit different, do you think gov would be willing to host a bunch of fun-loving 30s in 2009?

Rock And Roll Marathon Seattle

hang in there LL, this day will eventually end.

Well I am about to go out for a rare, summer, after work run. My car had issues this morning that needed my attention so I missed my 6 miler. But as fate would have it there was a big storm today and it's overcast and breezy at the moment and only 74 degrees! Life is weird. Off to go get in my 6.

Makes sense. That's probably for the best. Then let me phrase it another way... What pace to expect/want to maintain for the first few miles (at least)? Perhaps we can run together for a while, and then split up if/when necessary...

I'm about to head to the Y to hop in the pool...

2oh - I went from Saucony Triumphs to the Brooks Glycerin. The new Sauconys are cut narrower, so I had no choice. I like the Glycerins. The cushioning is comparable, but the Triumphs are a touch softer, so it did feel a tiny bit different on the first couple runs.

On related news, I'm actually fitting customers in the store on my own now.

Oh sure Moonie, make my decision making that much harder for next year. Seattle or OBX ( heck why not both they are only 5 months apart ) I do know that If I were to run Seattle, my bib would look a bit different. If you have previously run an inaugural RnR event and then run another you get a special bib. San Jose in 06 was an inaugural RnR event and I ran it. okay, Duck, that just about cements it...perfect time of the year for an extended visit to the PNW...some time with Tonya's mom in Seattle, some time with friends in Eugene, some time in the Cascades, some time on the coast.

Just means the Eugene Marathon is probably out

Seattle- would love to go but that is a hard time of year for me to take vacation. Between mid-June and late August, the only week I can usually take an extended break is the week of July 4 and even then it depends.

Solar might have to come in for some advice. I like what I am running in but they are an older style, never hurts to see what else is out there!! Oh and might get that running skirt you guys have that I really liked!

Got my 2 miles in, an ok pace, no breaks at all and no pain. Wahoo!

Evening all! Just back from a sweet 7.25 miler. Left the watch at home and just went by feel. Took about 2+ miles to get the legs properly woken up but dang after that it was like cruise control. Started getting real dark, real fast and I was in the middle of the park so I picked up the pace and got myself home. Not as long as I originally thought I'd go but a much better quality run.
