Okay, Okay... I know by the time I get through typing this it will be Thursday so I'll start the runnin' thread...

Hope the approach to the weekend is smoother sailing for ya!

KP my evening runs depend on my schedule, how friggin hot is it outside, where can I run late... ect. When I am working I try to run between 4pm and 6pm. When I am off I run later at night... usually 8pm-10pm. But I'm gonna have to be a switch runner with my TNT schedule. Long runs with the group will be in the am. I can't wait to see how I handle that.

Question for night time runners... Tonight I went to the last of the summer 2 miler series after spending an hour at my local running store trying to find the right shoe and orthotic for me. This was a repeat mission from last week when I got a shoe and spent all week thinking, this is not a good fit for me. I broke down and resigned myself to spending another 100+ on finding something better. The good news is the store insisted I return the others even though I'd gotten them a bit dirty in the weeks time. I kept saying are you sure. My friend kept saying, just shut up and say thank-you. I said thank-you. New pair, much, much better.

The race was just okay. I am not running as well right now as I know I can. It's aggravating me. I will get over it though, it just means I am more determined to get out of my runnin' funk. Talked for awhile with a couple of cool local runners who gave me some great advice about running in the summer in our lovely state. Thank God fall is a hop, skip, and a jump away. But oh, Brandy, ice bra rocks!

Last night I went out to the Happy's Irish Pub runnin' group. It will take some getting use to I think. My friend Leslie met me out there after the run and we hung out. I talked her into joining the club with me and made her buy running shoes today. Leslie says she's gonna go and hang out just to watch us crazy fools. Y'all will love this part. It was eighties night and some of the runners were decked out in eighties fashions. After the run there was kinda like a block party with music and people hanging out at several bars that were next to each other. Pretty fun group.
