I have 8K race tomorrow here in Chicago. Today I am doing easy 4-5 miles and some streching.
missy1102 -I live about 30 miles west of Chicago. I decided to run Traverse City after reading great reviews, plus it is not too far from here.
Have a great weekend Team.

Thanks all! The race was a lot of fun, and I ran it about 1 minute ~20 seconds faster than the last 5K I did!

One quick question regarding bonus points - this weekend we get bonus points for running. Are we suppose to include those ourselves when we input our numbers into the database, or do they get added in later by the higher ups?

eco, NICE WORK!!!!! way to PR. aren't you glad you did it?!? you should input the bonus points for running AND running a race (thats a total of 10 bonus pts for you) on your own.

marko, you're running the shuffle aren't you?!? so am i!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay! i'm heading down in about an hour or so to the expo and then will be spending the night at a girlfriend's tonight. good luck tommorow.. can't wait to hear about it!

It's kinda been one of those weeks... but I'm happy to say last night at work was much better than the night before.

This means, I did not run a 5k or do the heart walk on yesterday that I planned to squeeze in between work. When I left the hospital yesterday I was wiped out! Missy has got to know what I'm talking about when I say it was one of those shifts where everything went wrong but somehow at the end of the night everyone in the room still had a heartbeat, including me. Sometimes, that's enough.

5lbs 1oz 33 weeker? Little linebacker right there! I just picked up a 33 weeker as a primary last night. But he's just slightly over 4lbs! I went to see a sort of cool new addition to our unit and one of my friends said this one needs a primary, look you can meet mom and dad now! I'm so easy, ten minutes later he's mine.

Doc Sending out good runnin' vibes to ya this mornin'

Beth Did ya get in the HM? I seem to remember seeing something about it maybe being full? Good luck sent out to ya just incase!

Eco Great job! Nice PR!!

Sara Travel safe!

Marko and Missy How did your races go?

Hally Hope you're able to get out with your bike club today. Looks like we'll have a nice one here... while I sleep!

Have a nice Sunday everyone. Keep up the great workouts/runs!

i'm still alive and well, posted my Sat and Sunday workouts on the scoring web site

this was a HUGE weekend for team J.

eco improved her time in the 5k, and most importantly, shes back in the saddle with racing! (hopefully!!)

both doc wu and opie ran marathons (opie's 2nd marathon in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!! and doc ran the incredibly difficult bataan death march..everyone else, BOW DOWN!)

markalan and i both ran the chicago shamrock shuffle (here is my RR:
http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/sho...097#post708097)

beth may or may not have ran a 1/2 mary.. and i think that sums it up for racing. did i miss anyone else??

of course, if you ran AT ALL this weekend, you also racked up an extra 5 points as this weekend's theme was running. if you raced, make sure that you checked the "i raced twice" so get your total of 10 extra points.

i can't wait to see the standings after everyone is able to log their points from the weekend.. lets finish strong, team j!!!!!!!!!!

Wow - I just read Tiff and Opie's RR. I'm so behind. You two did FABULOUS!!!!! Thanks for your reports--I loved it!!! PRs for both of you I think.

Did anyone else write up a RR?

we're in the last week of VRAA 7 and we have picked up some amazing momentum!! we're currently in third place but team C is breathing down our necks. lets keep up the great work.. of course, we still have doc wu to post his marathon points and it doesn't hurt that alemma has a FIFTY mile race the DAY before VRAA ends!! eyes on the prize people.. strain forward.. the finish line beckons!!!!!!

Hey guys! Great job this weekend! Huge for our team. So proud of all of you. I want to read the RR's as soon as I can. Hopefully tonight.

I'm really sorry that I posted my first 0 points day today. I had planned to not miss a single day of doing at least something but I'm having really bad shooting pains in my right foot and I'm on my fourth night in a row of work. Planned to swim today but family obligations kept me from this.

I don't think I'll be running for a couple of weeks so I'll do all I can otherwise to help us finish out strong. I plan on swimming as much as I can this week and whatever else doesn't stress my foot too much.

Let's finish strong team!!

Got to some of the RR's but none of our groups yet. Great surge we have going on. Makes me want to do some extra stuff!! Hoping this is the weekend I can bike. Saturday is a big hike.
Tiff, do what you can. You foot is most important now.

Hi everybody! I just posted my miles in the daily threads (Friday through Monday). All in all, it totaled 163 points. I'll put them in the official scoring site in a few minutes if I don't get caught posting here at work.

You guys all did a great job while I was away! I'll try to catch up with the race reports (and write my own) either tonight or Wednesday. No running for me today, although my legs feel surprisingly good. Back to it tomorrow, probably 9.5 miles and will try to have a good finish. Boston is in only 20 days!

Hey Wu WTG!!!

Post a RR will u?
I will get over there and read them I swear
