Lookin' forward to meetin' you too Missy And I always look forward to another chance to hang out with Beth

Good luck on that long run Doc

Good luck Tershall! Do we have anyone else racing this weekend? Sending out good luck vibes just in case.

I walked three miles on the top of the parking garage at the hospital during lunch hour (3-4am) last night. Better than sitting on my butt watching another HG TV show or infomercials! That's just bonus for this day. Will get out and get my real workout in a bit later.

Good weekend workouts to all!

Hi Guys!
I think I'm back on track! I ran this morning with no knee pain at all.. so cross your fingers that my issues are over. I'm heading over to post my stuff on the scoring site. Tomorrow I have an 18 miler scheduled so I'll be racking up so good points for us and I'm going to get out my husbands bike this afternoon and see how far I can go on it Could be scary, he's quite a bit taller than me!

Welcome Opie!

And Beth, I spent all day yesterday cleaning as well.. I definitely think we deserve points for it!

It's called a Vigorfit. It blows away Chuck and Christy's Total Home Gym. Much better built and much less expensive thanks to no "compensated celebrity endorsers."

http://www.vigorfit.com/

Oh my gosh! There were so many people at the 5K yesterday! I looked at the results this morning and there were at least 2,151 participants. Those are the number of people with posted results, but I don't think that includes people who might not have picked up their chip timers.

I'm still kind of new to the Dallas area and because of where the race is I thought it was going to be a really flat course. I was wrong. There was only one hill, but it was long and fairly steep. I saw it stop a lot of people. Apparently the hill was noteworthy enough that the guy doing the announcing was talking about it over the loudspeaker during the race. I had a friend waiting for me at the finish and when I mentioned that hill, he told me that the announcer was talking about it.

Aid Station #1 offered beer. I didn't partake until later.

Overall, it was a reallyfun race. I'm glad I did it.

Hey all. Thought I would check in. Since last Sunday, I've managed to get in a few miles of running or walking each day. Even though I'm not going a far distance, I'm finally beginning to feel comfortable with this whole running thing again. I even found a local 5K in two weeks that I'm considering signing up for!

I think today might be a rest day with some yoga and stretching. Unfortunately I don't have a bike.

Have a great day!

tershall - Congrats on your race! I'm glad it was fun, even with the hill. Good decision about the beer.

I ran the Shamrock M today. And I PR'd by almost 6 minutes...4:13:01. I'll take it! My body hurts.

Missy: actually 23 miles on the treadmill.

Hey you guys, did you see we just went from last place to sixth place in about four days? After a slow start, I did 43.5 miles of running in the last four days and Alemma did a marathon today. I'm taking Monday and Wednesday off this week due to travel but should still have 45 - 49 running miles for the upcoming week. Then the following week I'm running a marathon in New Mexico and should still get in about 48 miles for that week.

Let's keep it up everybody!

Good job on the marathon, Alemma!

I spent the day downhill skiing, so I have no idea whether that's worth any points. In a couple of days, I'll have the Garmin on for XC skiing, so I'm sure that'll count.

I got my yoga in tonight, and tomorrow I will get back out there for another run.

I was playing around with the point-entry database, and somehow found that it had me listed as a Mega Badass, which really couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm a Badass-in-training. Is this something we should be concerned about or just a misprint?

Missy1102- just checked- all points are in now.
Team- WAY TO GO!!! from last place to 6th?
First place has 4068 points, we have 3762 points.
We CAN do this! We CAN move up- remember, together, we can win. I believe we are all winners this weekend! Just look at what WU did! And our team mates that raced. If you got off the couch and even scored a point- you did something positive to help this team move foward.
Again- This team ROCKS!!

Opie- skiing counts as an alt. workout! Get thee to the daily thread and log it as 12 points Alt. workout.
Max for Alt workout is 12 points. Cross country might count as general cardio, if it keeps your heart rate up.

***missy1102- I didn't add this one on the scoreboard.

Woohooo we are moving on up! Great job on the PR Alemma! And 23 miles on the TM, that should count for some mental points too Wu!

I just need a decent day so I can get my bike off the ceiling and on the road!
But it has to be weekend is the only catch.
