Nicole, if she's comfortable and doesn't look like she's struggling, let her run a little farther. My DD10 ran 3.5 with me after never having run anything more than what they do in gym class. I just ran a little behind her most of the way and let her set the pace.
 
we had a tree go down. Fortunately it took down a power line so the power company did some of the work. We never had any damage. We did have a fence get totalled by a wind storm and I think it was covered. I don't remember a deductible but I suppose there was one.
