Hey guy! Just got back from the grocery store and Target. Had to get new undies. Functional only - my old one are so big that I am beginning to have "issues" when I run and sometimes during the day. I told DH it was like how guys get chafing when they wear boxers and DH says "It isn't the boxers that chaff us it is our b#$@%!" Nice.

Did find that both Target and Harris Teeter carry Accellerade! Just so you guys know when you come to visit!!!

Here's a solution. Don't wear panties. I rarely wear them. The guys a work know that a rarely wear them. On the days I do wear panties, I show the waistband to the guys. (My department at work consist of a gay man and the old guy. Both of whom are low drama and like me.)

To summarize; go commando.

Well I replenish my electrolytes, just not necessarily with sports drink during the run... lots of pretzels and salty foods leading up to the race, and gels/clif blocks have some electrolytes.

Also as I understand it, hyponatremia is water/electrolyte imbalance. I don't guzzle water (just sip it) on a run (even a long run like Jay Mtn Marathon which was 8+ hours for me). I drank some sports drink, but mostly water. I did however eat salty potatoes at the aid stations.

I like to drink some sports drink with my breakfast before a long race, and more sports drink after the race is finished followed soon after by beer

I drink like crazy, but only drink water when I have a gel, otherwise I stick to the sports drink. Don't you get thirsty? Did you track your fluid intake?

I'm curious about how much you drank.
I don't know how to ask the right question, but it would be pretty much... why????? LOL
I had +/-80oz (24oz water and rest gatorade endurance) and it last me only to mile 15... still even if we were just comparing the time. That would be a full marathon for you and you wouldn't even get close to that intake.
I would pass out.
