First of, your doctor was a dumbass because he didn't screen you properly for SF. You've been through enough with this foot and I don't allow you to talk like that about yourself. I don't allow you to get a slap on the face either.
I don't allow you to forget ANY 0.3 either EVAH. If you don't run the last 0.3 on a race, you are a DNF, so 0.3 can be a long way to go and a very important too. It counts a ton within your come back.
You know how happy I get when I read about your runs, so just celebrate with me. tks.

Ty-Great job on your 17. You're doing awesome with your training. You're going to be an ultra-marathoning badass mama!

OK I made the YUMMIEST veggie shepherd's pie. It is the best comfort food.

Hi Fer! Glad to see you around here...please dont be a stranger!

Jen! Ditto what TY said!

Hi Gaela~ where were you when I needed cooking advice LOL! So I registered...did you??

LEE~ you had better have registered by the time you read this. I am NOT going to be going up that hill alone!

I am so burnt out. I have run 12 days straight and I felt it today. I couldn't get off the couch for a couple hours. And I feel like blah.

OK, sorry for the whining. I'm done.

Tks Fer and Jen...

I am glad I chose Umstead for my first 50. I absolutely love that place. Today I had a special run... a lot of thinking, a lot of talking to myself, a lot of paying attention to nature...
It's strange how sometimes we need a threat to appreciate life a little more.
I had a talk with God about that too
I felt blessed to be there today, to have an absolutely perfect day.
It just won't make sense to have bad news. It shouldn't happen.

Because I'm a dumbass.

I'm loosely following Hal Higdon's 54-mile training schedule. He only recommends running 5 days a week, but I can't always get his weekly mileage with 5 days of running, so I end up running 7 days a week to make sure I get the weekly goal.

I have to run 23 miles tomorrow if I want to make the goal of 75 miles this week. I don't have it in me.
