Got in 10 miles before waking kids up for school. Now I'm off to run a couple of BORING errands (tax and insurance stuff).

Nicole..... Hope you and the kids make it through the week without someone getting hurt. We just finished our spring break which is why we did the little trip to Nashville. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. What are your plans for the week?

Moni..... Sorry you can't hang out in your jammies this morning. We had roofers show up at 7:00 a.m. this past Saturday. Thanks a lot.

You and the boys should load up and come visit me this week. Monkey would LOVE it and we'd have a live-in babysitter, DD13 (oh, excuse me.... almost 14 as she reminds me daily).

Jaw still hurting? Does ibuprofen help?

I'm glad you had a good Easter, jeans. GL running today!

Nicole..... Could you plan one "fun" activity per day as their reward for not fighting, doing their chores, etc. Have they seen Horton Hear a Who yet? Do you have a Botanical Garden? Ours had lots of kid friendly activities going on last week (for spring break). Do they like to swim in the indoor pool at the gym? What about a super duper playground? We have one called Kid's Space and it's made of wood with all kinds of tunnels and stuff. What about a trip to McD's or out for pizza? A trip to Baskin Robins for ice cream? Do you have a Sci-Quest (hands on museum)? Also, look in the paper for places that are having Spring Break activities for kids.

Good luck. Nothing worse than fighting kids.

Hi Sisu! You're almost there, sweetie. Not too much longer and you'll be running again without soreness. You'll come back stronger than before because you've been so faithful with PT and your at home exercises. I know this has been a LONG ROAD for you, but it will be so worth it in the long run. Hang in there!

How do you play trucks for more than 30 seconds without going bonkers? My mind wanders when I try to play with Monkey and then I feel bad.

Nicole....my DD loves to paint pottery too, but it is EXPENSIVE so we don't do it very often. Have you seen the clay that you bake? They have it at Target or Walmart and it cost about $10 for the pack, but it's a big pack with lots of different colors. Anyway, maybe they could make something and then you could bake it in the oven. My DD has made me tons of stuff like angels, butterflies, handprint, etc. Maybe they could do that one day. Also, another thing my DD LOVED to do at your girls' age is "dress up" and put on a play. I would videotape it and she would watch it over & over. Sometimes she would just dance or whatever. Would your girls like to do that? What's the weather like this week? Maybe they could take an old blanket outside and have a picnic/tea party with their stuffed animals or dolls? Or they could build an inside fort (in the den if you could stand it) and get inside and read books, have a snack, etc. DD also loved to make scrapbooks..... I'd just give her a bunch of old pictures and she'd glue or tape them on construction paper and add stickers and funny captions.

And no, I'm NOT super mom. These are things I LOVED to do with my DD when she was younger (and before Noah). I don't do anything with Noah because I just can't get into the "boy" stuff.
