Hey guys, just wanted to stop in and let you all all know that my test results weren't good. The chemo isn't working like it should, so we're going to stronger chemo for 4 weeks, if that doesn't start to work, it may be surgery.I've been in tears since yesterday morning and am having a hard time right now. I don't know how much I'll be in here, so wanted to let you guys know...love u all.
Ky- he has really surprised me because he makes friends so easily and his fear is that no one will like him. I'm sure within a few hours he'll be having a great time. He's driving me crazy though because he's on an emotional roller coaster- lots and lots of tears. My parents used to have a condo in Bonita Springs. Is that where your place is?

LEE I looked like a clown. I don't know how to work the gears, so I would go charging up a hill, not be able to make it, then clunk down speeds at an alarming rate and start peddling madly. Can we say LOSER!

Just imagine that you were riding your bike in front of a "green screen" and the images that they added post production showed you flying by Lance Armstrong!
Alemma- WTG with your run yesterday- especially after working so many days. You're such a strong/fast runner. When do you come back to Va?? I am back from my 7.
(((Heather))) Sorry to hear that it is not working out as quickly as you hoped. I hope you have quality medical care. I know you are strong and will overcome this! Please check in here often so that we know how you are doing.

Awww. Give him lots of hugs from the Running Moms!

Yes, it is in Bonita Springs. Were they on a golf course community?
Hey everyone. I ran 3.5mi last night with my RP and our chiro and some others. Our chiro does gait analysis and watched us run. I'm all confused now. I'm a shuffler and I know it. I don't know if I should attempt to change my gait or not. I did try out what he was suggesting and I ran a lot faster but there is no way I can do my long runs that way.

Has anyone tried to change their gait? Are most people shufflers?

Running rest day for me. Time to head out to get groceries, etc
Sisu - I went to a dinner a couple weeks ago and Jeff Galloway was the guest speaker. He is a shuffler and I saw him run. He is definitely a shuffler. (And he ended up with a 7:10 pace.) He hasn't had an injury in over 25 years. Great job on your run last night!!!!

Small world! They first had a house in The Brooks. They sold that and bought a condo in Pelican Springs, then they sold that and just rent a place for a few weeks each year. DH and I used to go down there 1-2 times a year. We miss it.

Jen - I have 2 more days. I can't wait. How did your run go?

My run went well. I stretched too long so I had to run faster than normal to get it in before DH had to leave for work (and then found out he was running late...LOL). You must be so excited to see your DH and the girls!! Do you have a new assignment waiting for you when you return?

See! I think being a shuffler is fine!! I understand what my chiro is suggesting and how it works but I don't know if I can commit myself to it. It requires working on getting more on my toes and doing the "butt kick" more and there is no way I could just start doing it now. It's the form I used as a sprinter but I'm not a sprinter anymore! Just makes me question myself I guess.

I'm going to a Jeff Galloway event here in a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to it!
