Hi Ralf. I'll be in Montreal this weekend for a bit and I'd love to get together with you and 'fly!.

'Fly, when is the Montreal marathon. I'd like to watch it!

It's gonna be a hot one today. I won't be running though after two tough runs in a row, I need to let the swelling go down on my achilles.

She's out of the water and should be pedalling hard by now. She did the swim segment in 1:43:23. To be continued ...

Df, I am glad that you will be in town so that we'll see each other. I do not want to get ahead of SS. However, she asked to post our availability (she know mine) and would probably love to have some answers when she gets back so that she can fix the date and make the reservation.

Merc, good to hear that you are in town too. AFAIK the marathon is on Sunday.

I ran 10 km around sunset yesterday in order to beat the heat. This morning I added another 5 km on the Vibrams finishing my week with a total of 29.4 km. No stomach problems to report.

Merc: Sunday September 5th is the Montreal marathon

SS: Go Sally Go!

2 hour run this morning. It was warm in the sun but fantastic in the shade. I'm looking foward to the easy week before the race.

Have a good one.

19:49 - Looks like Sally finished pedalling and is in transition right now. Time for the bike segment: 7:46:20

Way to go Sally, just a marathon left. Gooooo

Edited at 19:56: She is on the road again.

Sally has passed the first half of the running segment in 3:03:34. I guess shell will finish within the next 1.5h. But I am going to bed now.

Best wishes Sally. I know you will make that last few km. Great effort so far.

Congratulations SillySally! What a great accomplishment! We are all really proud of you!

I ran a little yesterday, and I am hoping to get back into the swing of it. My shin feels way better after the long break.

Hi everyone,

I'm back home and should be sleeping but felt like I needed to catch up a bit. Anyway, I'm still on Vancouver time. Thanks for all your support for the race - it was, as usual, a hard one. The wind was absolutely brutal on the bike. Imagine trying to climb several Camilien Houdes over and over again in a headwind ...

But it's over ... and more importantly, I think I'm close to reaching my fundraising goal for the Canadian Cancer Society. I would have DNF'ed had it not been for my commitment in my heart to my mom to help find a cure for cancer. It'll be a recuperation week for me this week especially since I haven't gotten any quality sleep since last week.

Had talked to Df and TB while in B.C. about Hurley's ... thought it could work for Sunday but now I think it'll be better for Friday as I'm booked on a film on Sat. and I will now be celebrating my son's birthday on Sunday. Let me know folks, ASAP, if this FRIDAY AUG 3 could work ... name a time please.

Sally

p.s. I have a nice new shiny medal

Hugh: Good job, carry on.

Sally, congratulations again. I don't know how you do it (with or without commitment). Friday 7pm can work for me. Give those legs a rest.

Hugh, javelin too? Good job.

Sal, enjoy the well-earned rest. You're committed, as in crazy.

I'm out of town this weekend, so no Hurley's for me.

Okay, so far for Hurley's, we've got two people confirmed ... me and Ralf ...C'MON FOLKS, RSVP!! Welcome Katwoman and Grizzly. I think you've gone back home G, but K, I hope to see you there Friday!

Sally

p.s. Sleeping is a huge issue, I guess because of the time difference ... got only 3 hours last night but woke up too early :-( Legs feel almost normal, just a bit of residual soreness in my quads, not bad, not bad ...
