Good morning, almost afternoon!<br><br>
Yummy goodies in the thread today.<br><br>
Had a bridal shower for my friend Loreli at my house yesterday. With Abby's passing on Friday and all the prep for the shower I am exhausted. Slept in til almost 10. mmmm, sleep. Beaker was a tremendous help preparing for the shower even though she wasn't a part of it. I couldn't have pulled it off without everything she did. The tea sandwiches were a hit and everyone loved the homemade chocolates. Never underestimate your creativity again, Lori. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/notworthy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="notworthy"> Oh and Loreli asked where you went and why you didn't stay.<br><br>
One of the bridesmaids lives 2 hours away and did not plan on arriving early and did little to nothing to help while she was her. grrrrr! My friend Phil also made mini quiches and some other apps that were fabulous! In the end, I think everyone enjoyed themselves and there is tons of food left over. Anyone hungry?<br><br>
It is 60 degrees here but super rainy & windy. My plan to take Wyatt out for a walk in the woods is foiled for now. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad"><br><br>

Lots of meetings today so far, which required me walking back and forth in this crappy rain, I am soaked!!!!<br><br><b>Colleen</b> so good to see you back on here! Oh and I just had a potty training conversation this weekend, my cousin's kids had the same issue!!! Got to watch the second game yesterday. I am sorry but enough already about Favre!!! All the additional covergae, the shots of his hometown. And nothing about Brees or any other Saints player. I am actually excited abotu the Super Bowl matchup!! I think it will be a good game.<br><br>
Ok folks, back to work. I am now officially 100% assigned to 2 different projects. I haven't figured that out yet either so don't ask!

No, that's what happens when no one wants to pony up money to hire the people they promised!! It will all work out, the projects are related. But I just need to keep it all straight, one is work witha joint venture and I can't mention anything about the other stuff to people who aren't directly employed by my company.<br><br>
And by the way, sounds like a great hockey weekend!!! Love that your son had such a good game, sounds like he is a team leader, getting the crowd into it!! So awesome!

not wanting to offend any Vikes fans, but really glad the Saints won. Having worked with three of the coaches when I was in undergrad (Payton was the QB coach, Kromer was TE coach, and Dalrymple was the strength/conditioning coach) plus the fact that the GM is a Eugene-native, I'm glad to see 'em have that success.<br><br>
Plus I'm with Lori - tired of all the Favre stuff.<br><br>
Sounds like some fun weekends!

I think the biggest winners were whoever is televising the Super Bowl this year. There wasn't a really non-desireable matchup to be had no matter who won<br><br>
Other than the Favre hullabaloo that was going to come of it, I didn't really have a preference between the Saints & the Vikes. And did anyone think like I did that the Jets were doomed to fail when that coin-flip guy called them the NY Giants (no offense to you Giants fans <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy">)<br><br><b>NCRG</b> - props to the little guy, even tho' the team came up short in the end<br><br>
With all the rain we've been having here, it makes sense there'd be a few of these around. My family are Saints fans, though so at least they were happy.<br><br>
However, one thing that DID come to mind: with all the stuff that has happened to New Orleans, this really is something for them to celebrate, so I'm glad for that.<br><br>
I also was sort of bothered by how violent this game was. Football is one thing, but you aren't trying to kill the guy (on either side). I wonder how many concussions there were and how hurt some of them got?
