Hey gang - Took yesterday off. Today got back on the bike for a close to 30 mile ride after work. Decided to route in a direction I generally don't go in. Some hills ... so that's probably why I generally don't ride that way :) Mid 16's, which was better than Saturday - but still not great. Got the road bike back though, so that was good...

Really should kayak more often. For some reason, it feels like a fall activity in my head. We have two - so no excuse really for not strapping them on the car and going every now and then. Bummer about the heater, but I guess better to have the failure now than in the the dead of winter.

Pup will be paddling before you know it, Zoj! Have to check the schedule on Rizo - but if available, count me in...

Not a bad idea to explore the direction you normally don’t go into. Changes are good!
We have only one kayak and zero space for one more in the garage so I’m kinda thinking to buy the inflatable SUP so DH could join…

So… we knew air conditioning units are also on the last legs (was told so during the spring inspection..) so decided to get estimates from a few companies… ouch. 15–17k. I have been taking cold bath…. Dishwater not working either. DH left for Chicago early AM. A decision time!!!

5.5miles run/walk. So not in the mood plus super humid. At least got out! Monday night ride has been pushed to tomorrow.

Nice ride! Hills are brutal but great for building endurance – that extra effort will pay off on your next flat route. 16+ mph after a day off is solid!

Kayaking in summer is underrated – the water’s warm, and sunset paddles beat treadmill sessions any day. If you need motivation, just think of it as ‘cross-training’ for cycling balance.

Let me know if Rizo’s schedule works out – I’d be up for a weekend paddle too!
