Yikes Yo - that's nuts! They should have kept you longer in the recovery area knowing that you had a 4-hour drive home. Glad you are feeling better tho! keep us posted!

yesterday was a less than stellar run attempt - left ankle decided to be cranky again...so that limited the mileage even more. Softball last night...we actually played fairly well and I got a couple of hits! we tied...which in our books is a win! lol

Out on the road today for 30 miles - MUCH better than last time, though still a tougher effort than I would have liked. DH did 42 (cuz he could) lol. and no issues post ride either with BP so win!

I agree - this BBB is 100% crap and affecting so many people. Our CEO announced another round of layoffs in August (Aug 11 to be exact), which will put the total at ~1600 employees since April. Ugh.

Off to see the Sox tomorrow with my coworker friend who retired on me a couple of years ago...

Out for a 60 mile Bagelry ride this morning (longest of the year so far for me). About 55 on route plus there/back to meeting spot. Then came home to make pancakes for breakfast with sister and BF visiting. Spent a pleasant few hours for the rest of the morning, then they went shopping and briefly returned before going to Bare Naked Ladies at Meadowbrook.

Had dinner with DW at the food truck court near us, and then had a frappe - followed by watching a pretty good movie at home (on Hulu - UPROAR Trailer (2023) Julian Dennison, Rhys Darby, Minnie Driver ) So - pleasant summer evening.

Softball sounds fun! And nice ride! Though you can do without a cranky ankle!

sounds like. Nice peaceful weekend Geo. What, rode 60miles before breakfast cooking time? You are amazing!

Saturday started really rough. I was still lethargic and having a hard time processing some stuff…. Forced myself to head out to an OWS (first one this year.. unbelievable). Felt crappy and super slow. Kinda regretted for coming out there to swim. Then headed out to the Tigers game just because a friend of ours invited… I wasn’t feeling too excited but ended up having a good time. So, 1700yds and 2-miles walk

Sunday - 7-mile run. It was slow going with normal shitty feeling. But about halfway I started feeling better to my surprise. Still lots of walk breaks but when I was running I was prob at 8min pace and felt like I was a runner!!

Sounds like a rollercoaster weekend! Congrats on the softball hits – those moments make all the practice worth it. Sorry about the ankle though; maybe some pool running could maintain cardio while it recovers?
30 miles on the bike with no BP issues is a huge win. Do you think the work stress is subconsciously affecting your training intensity? (Those layoffs sound brutal...)
