Easter beginning of Passover weekend

5 miles for me this morning. Really pretty but cold-ish.
 
 
While Oskar's sideways fang tooth came out yesterday, I never found it. Dh did this morning though, and saved it for me, "Sweetie, I've got something for ya!" <img alt="huh.gif" id="user_yui_3_4_1_2_1333806365282_303" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/huh.gif" style="border-top-width:0px;border-right-width:0px;border-bottom-width:0px;border-left-width:0px;">
 
Are there races this weekend? Any Bunny Trots [snicker] or anything?

Morning! Ten miles done. Better than the last two long runs, so I'm feeling good about the mini now. Come on May 5th!

Nice runs, ladies.
 
Since I did my 20 yesterday, I didn't need to do much today. I just did 3 slow easy miles to shake the legs out. 
 
Btw, we're in CT this weekend visiting my parents for Easter weekend. And now I'm gonna go meet one of my high school buddies at a sports bar to drink beer, kill a few hours, and chew the fat...

Hey peeps! We had a nice fire last night and then slept in this morning. Then the boys and I started making Tsoureki (Greek Easter Bread). They have been looking forward to it all week. Very fun.
 
My run is short today too, but I get company

James is doing 4 miles with me. He is building up to 5, since that is the distance of his goal race, CrazyLegs.

Morning! 5.0M for me this morning on some very tired legs. Found one more easter egg around the square. ironically, for the same company as yesterday, and I cannot figure out where there store is. Looked all over. Ahh well. I can do without the free koozi (or whatever the miscellaneous prize was!)
 
In a bit, I'm headed out to the yard for more work. zzzz. At least yesterday's gray skies are gone and it's absolutely gorgeous today- both in the skies and temps!

I ran 4 with James and he was so proud of himself. We had a wonderful time and he didn't have a hint of negativity the entire time. Great stuff. He even said he may run a mile or 2 with me tomorrow to help me get through my 22 miler and to sneak in an extra mile or two. <img alt="love4.gif" id="user_yui_3_4_1_2_1333822999250_163" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/love4.gif">

Six miles with Tobey in 60 minutes. He was on leash! 
I worked the track meet this morning, and when I got home I got an hour or two on the tractor knocking down the high grass. Then the run. Now I want beer, dinner and a nap!

Pardon my noob ignorance (looked in vain for a welcome thread or the like), but is this for runners in their 30s or for runners hitting 30+ miles?

 Greetings, Orangeguy. The idea was that the group would be for folks with ages in the 30's. That being said, we've been together long enough, that a lot of us are now in the 40's. Membership to the group is lifelong though, and we certainly don't kick anyone to the curb based on age.. regardless of age.

RIL, I'm doing okay after the 20 miles. My legs have felt more sore than usual after a 20-miler, but I guess that's becuase I'm somewhat undertrained. I managed 3 easy yesterday and 3 more today. No big deal...

My running partner and I run with her dog, too, Duck (also on a leash!)
Nice runs this weekend, peeps!
 
We got back from my in-laws' last night. I never was able to get my run in. I just felt awful most of the weekend. I did get a lot of schoolwork done while I was hiding out in my bedroom. Hooray for that!

Gorgeous morning here. Well, it looks pretty. It's actually deceptively cold because of TOG wind.
 
A hair under 10 miles this morning, with TOG headwind the first half. PFFTHTHT. Last 3 miles = terrible, horrible, no good, very bad. <-reference?

No. I don't know if the dogs live at the house or if they belong to visitors. Three weiner dog/beagle/terriors or some such mixed dogs CHARGED Oskar. They were hopping all around him and the girl just could NOT get control of them. They're lucky Oskar is only 5 months and more interested in playing, cause if he was an adult he likely would have tried to thrash one. Really obnoxious dogs, and not listening to their owner at all. She ended up shrieking for her husband/boyfriend to come help her. He did, and I heard her tell him that they pulled out of their collars. Um, then they aren't on tight enough! It's not rocket science! (She couldn't grab them because of no collar to grab. She still didn't have any leashes for them.)
 
They were very apologetic, but really? I just want people to control their dogs. It doesn't matter if their dog(s) is/are friendly, you don't know if mine is or not. (Ok, he is. But I don't want him traumatized this young and then hate all other dogs on sight.)
