I prefer blinky white on the front, as I think that garners more attention to oncoming traffic as opposed to a steady light.

Whatever light you get LED's would be your best bet, they are brighter and use less power and are smaller

and for the record. I always listen to everything PH says regarding bikes.

Moving this one over to The Training Gym.

So what did you end up getting?

I think I got a good set-up for my bike, but would actually like two water bottle cages. It's a good idea to have something you can put a cell phone in, too.

This isn't a gear tip, but I also went from a hybrid, which I was very strong on, to a road bike this year. It's been like learning to ride all over again. Be prepared to practice and practice things that are second nature on the hybrid especially before you go out in traffic.

No biggie QN, but if people start posting their cross-trianing stuff here first, others will know to look for it, and it WILL get faster!

I normally do post in here for this stuff (you can see I have in the past). But since I was leaving in 2 hours to go to the bike shop, I was trying to rush it. I can post something in another forum and wait a day for one reply. Normally, I'll wait... but I had reasons to be impatient.

I'll be good going forth though.
