A while back, a bunch of folks over at Cool Running started the <a href="http://coolrunningnewbie.pbwiki.com/" target="_blank">Newbie Wiki</a>. It's still out there and still has a LOT of great information in it. Check it out!! Feel free to edit and add as well - it's by the people, for the people, and all that.

Certainly worth considering. Is there a wiki "engine" running "here"?

Not yet - but it is available. If we can get volunteers to rebuild the wiki entries here, I'll look into buying it and adding it to our site.<br><br><br><br>

I'd rebuild it. The basic wiki syntax is pretty standard - might have to changes some header tags are something. It's easy to export to text. I could manipulate the text files and plug 'm back in pretty quick.<br><br>
I don't know what kind of expense you're talking but do take into consideration... PBWiki seems to work pretty well and it 100% free - not even pop-up adds or anything at this point. And I keep a full backup on my PC - reasonably regularly - so we're not going to "loose" it. So any significant expense would likely not be justified at this time.<br><br>
On the other hand... Tying it in here might give it more visibility and maybe get more people using it - there's only three or four of us who have written and edited much of it.

Not a major expense (less than our monthly server charges) - but what it does give us is 'seamless' integration to this forum software (vbulletin). That gives us much more flexibility. I'll look into it. I need to set up our development site first (which allows us to 'test' things before they go live)<br><br>
Once I get that up and test it so nothing crashes - I'll move it into this site.<br><br><br>
