Have fun in NY! After reading about a lot of the contenders, I really wish I could be at the trials now, too! Sounds so exciting, especially with the loop course where you can see them several times! I'm up and getting ready for a last minute 10 mile race. I'm really doing it as a LR but it's good to have the race atmosphere to push you on a little bit. I hope to be around 1:50, but we'll see because the course (5M x2) is pretty hilly. I'd like to do 13 actually, so we'll see if I can do just a little more. Depends because I'm riding with someone else, who I'm hoping is going for the 15 miler and that will give me the extra time.<br><br>
Anyway, gonna just finish my coffee then get ready! Have a great Sat. Looks like the weather will be fabulous all over!<br><br>

Worst thing is, the weather is absolutely perfect for a long run. I was hoping to get 12+ in but only had the energy for 7. Morning all!<br><br>
First of all, best of luck to our racers this weekend! Kick some ass while you're out there!<br><br><b>Maccabeth</b> - heh.. I didn't read your posts from last night until now, but it looks like you went to the event at Stone Mountain this morning. So did <b>Radioyada</b>! I figured I wasn't up to 5 miles yet, so I stayed home. I'm not sure if hubby was going for the 5 or 10 miler.<br><br>
Hit the TM this morning for another 2.5 run, with .5 total warm up/cool down. Decided to have a little fun with the atmosphere, though. The workout room is our closed-in garage, and although it has a door with a window in it to the yard, it can get pretty dark in there.<br><br>
So... I decided to slightly open the door to the inside of the house, for a little bit of light. Then, I turned on my <span style="color:#800080;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><i>two tabletop, rotating "mini disco balls"</i></span></span>. Remember the ones at the skating rinks that would shine colored dots everywhere? Well I had two smaller versions of those going today, providing a rainbow of moving, colorful entertainment. With the rest of the room fairly dark, and the music cranked.. (and no one to watch me be that silly).. let's say that I definitely had FUN on this morning's run. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile"><br><br>
(anyone have some disco smileys?)<br><br>
Now, I'm sitting down, eating some much needed veggie soup, and then I'm out of here for a few errands.<br><br>

Nor'easter here today. We are allowing the kids to stay in their PJs all day and take out as many toys as they want, 'cause otherwise it's just gonna get ugly. I'm planning to fix them an indoor picnic for lunch.

I thought I would get in a little run today, but the weather is looking grim. (Hurricane Noel is brushing up against us today.) Unless I get to the gym later (and before I meet up with friends for dinner), I don't think I'll go. I will run tomw.<br><br>
Since I know I'm gonna be walking much of Philly, I've at least increased my walking miles this week. 3.5 twice this week, probably will get in more tomw as well as running. I'm counting total mileage now. <i>One foot after the other....</i><br><br>

It's nice to check in and not have to go through 300 posts! I can actually see what some people are doing!<br><br><b>Scratch</b> - Congrats on the training run!<br><br><b>Beth</b> - Hope your "race" went well.<br><br><b>Maples</b> - Enjoy the game.<br><br><b>Moe</b> - I know exactly what your saying about the weather. I have to run later, and it's going to be pouring with 20 MPH sustained and 40-50 gusts.<br><br><b>Everyone</b> - I hope you're having a good day.<br><br>
As for me, Tropical Storm Noel is going to brush us today. It's going to be a nasty day here, so I don't know what I'm going to do today.<br><br>
It was nice to sleep in today. This past week, I was awake every night at 3:00am. It wasn't something waking me up, I kept waking up thinking of someone.<br><br>
