Morning!! Outta bed you rascally runners!

I woke to NO coffee in the house. Can you believe I'm making a trip to the store just for that? Don't tell Al Gore.

I'm still a little sickly, but going to go out for a 5 miler. I've been LOVING the weather in the past few days...what a difference a week makes.

QOY--Layers: Yes. I usually wear tights before most people do; my legs are weirdly the coldest thing on me. Just the opposite with gloves, though--Any temp below 40 warrants taking them, but I often use them just to blow my nose, anyway.

(When you guys meet me in Philly that will be a nice mental image, eh?)

Oh, BTW! A woman at work ran TCM; she said days later she went into her doctor because she was so puffy that it looked like she was on steroids. She was diagnosed with hyponatremia (low salt)--but it surprised her that can be a problem days after a marathon; her doc said she was very lucky she wasn't hospitalized. I just thought that was an interesting FYI and cautionary tale... she claims she didn't feel that badly.

Happy running today, everyone! Jill, Theia, Heather--remember that 5ks are suppose to hurt, but at least the pain is short lived!

Sage runs manana. I'm trying to see if I can track our speedy CoachT.
Update: I'm not seeing tracking anywhere on the website...

Winter--re: Kerik's crush. Now, come on. You can't have everyone...you need to share. I like your avatar, btw. DF said, and I quote, "who's that?"

Moe--you were supposed to have a good day today. Go back to bed and start over!

I have coffee. Holy cats, is this good stuff. I'm WIRED.

Time to run...can't wait to hear RR's.

i know who kerik's crush is...there is more than one. however, lest we think any less of our talented, intelligent and adorable K, he's also completely committed, so it's all in good fun.

Sage WENT. I feel terrible that I thought it was tomorrow, but she ran today!

I just heard from her (so did Roo) and although there was some hip stuff at mile 18, she pulled a 4:03. 9th in her AG.

BTW, her DS? 15th overall in the 1/2, first in AG, COURSE RECORD for AG--his time was 1:24.

You can all bow now. She'll be back online Monday.

Maybe--but there is truth in the expression "you become like those you hang around".

Lessee, guy runs a marathon in a caveman outfit, several of us decided to run a marathon in record heat and humidity, most of us are paying big $$ to fly across the country to meet people we know nothing about from the internet, we sign up for races while drunk, and to top it all off, running to the point of exhaustion and/or puking seems pretty normal, depending on the conditions.

And as for me, well, I break my face and still kept running. Nuts. Yup.

However, that being said, I am very confident in your ability to do this!
