OK, so I have exercised for the last 3 days---4 mile walk/run Thursday, 5 mile walk/run Friday, and a tough Spin class this morning. My quads are pleasantly sore, but I feel great. I know I have to build slowly back to running, but I also don't feel like I've lost as much ground as I did when I was injured in '05 and didn't have access to a gym. So, I'm feeling much better overall. The sunshiny goodness helps, I know.

Auntie Moe, I still think it's you eyes, glasses or not. That and you have the most amazing teeth I have ever seen.

Wishing good luck to all the racers this weekend, and those of you training for future races, and those of you working on crushes.

Happy weekend, everyone. I'm off to take my kids to the Pumpkin Patch festival. DH bowed out, so this may test the limits of my good mood.

Oh, my. 2-1/2 hours at the Pumpkin Patch Fair on legs that were already sore, with shoes instead of sneakers = yeowwww.

My kids freakin' rock, though. They were so well-behaved. And I really wished I had brought my camera, because the sight of my little peewee girl trying to play things like the football toss and the basketball hoop game surrounded by kids a foot and a half taller than she is was awesome. She is destined to become a fierce competitor.

Way to hold out on us, Sage. Oh, I'm just some oldster trying to make it through a marathon... Lady, you are a force to be reckoned with! And your son...man.

Good showing by the Sages.
