Hi folks - I found out yesterday that I'm apparently too healthy to donate blood these days. The HR was below minimum and when they measured it a few minutes later, it had slowed down even more. Ahh, well, I guess I have this damn running to blame

Ended up spending what was a rest day designing the liner notes for and burning my swap CD instead - just gotta' put it in an envelope and get it in the mail.

Also found out today that our family is newsworthy! My niece Kayla got her name in the back-to-school article...
American Canyon Kids Trek Back To Class

And I also got quoted in the article about the local race. Unfortunately, they screwed up the spelling of my first name...but hey, this newspaper comes out only once a week, so what can you do, right?
Runners Hit Their Stride In Local Race

I hope none of you are going through any flooding issues - that sounds pretty horrid right now.

Whoa, Amy's got hot hammys? I guess we know that already tho

Ugh Maureen - it looks like we got out of CR just in time. I guess I'll be working on getting my log securely in place somewheres else. Perhaps some enterprising person can save the C25K program for usage before a pricetag is slapped on the thing?

Speaking of which, healing/get-better-quickly/general good vibes to you Maureen, Beth & Beth's Dad, Frankie (good to hear about the insurance coming thru), Amy, KJ (I'm glad the move is at least finalized!), Brandy, Theia & Ann's family, Solar's G'mom...hope I'm not missing anyone.

startingover - that's what's been great about this group. Everyone has their own levels and goals they're striving for. The journey to getting there is the challenge and these folks have always been supportive of everyone else along the way. And oh yeah, some beer, cookies, and occasional bouts of Friday-chat along the way help as well

Alrighty...time to get back to work

I think I got a picture of him in action here

BTW, startingover, I love when I come across stories like yours. Another one of the many reasons why I love this thread - accomplishments both big and small are inspiring for me to read about

In the mix with startingover and Bard? Oooh, sounds fun

Beth - glad to hear Maccadad is out of the hospital okay. My Mom went through gall bladder surgery a year ago or so - was kinda' fortunate; they were doing an MRI on her back and discovered the problem that way, and it turned out to be pretty serious.

Rumpswabber - hmm, maybe Wreckx N Effect can make a comeback with this one
