Thanks. I have to go have dinner with the bossman. I'll try to post more details about the pizza (everyone here seems to think with their stomach) after I get back from dinner...that is if I don't fall straight into bed. Also, I will try to post the elephant picture from this morning.

Good gawd, I'm bushed. Flew across the country yesterday and finally got home around 1:00 a.m., couldn't fall asleep after that and probably ended up with a few hours of sleep at best. As a result I didn't get up for a run this morning, making me feel like a giant pile o' poop. Aiming for some recovery miles this evening and a strength workout.

Tom I am out for PDR, it is the weekend of my friend's first tri so I am going with her for support!!! One of these years I will get to run that race! They used to do a 5K with the PDR and it was the first race I ever did, this year it will be 3 years ago! So I really want to do it one year!

Mornin' all!!

Got my double in yesterday and I feel pretty good this morning. Probably get to the gym at lunch and then try to pound out 10 miles after work. It's going to be about 90*F today and humid.

KJ, good luck and speedy recovery!

Scratch, good to see you're coming back strong!

Tim, glad to hear you're enjoying India. I am envious.

Bob, first day of training?? Seems like I've been marathon training all damn summer!!

Maples, big ups on the progress on the C25K.

QOD: Vascularity (veins popping out) in my quads, abs (very faint, mind you, but they were there!), the 190s (I hadn't weighed less than 200 pounds since I was 17 years old.), a fox, some really neat parts of cities that I never would've seen.

I am doing the tri at Cape Henlopen. That was my first du last year; the course is flat, but there were winds on the bike last year. Great course, though. I could maybe be talked into the Pine Barrens on September 8.

Shoot, there was something else I wanted to say to someone... drat.

Got in 12 last night, with a three mile tempo section. Felt pretty good. It was really warm, I think about 90, but no real humidity. It's supposed to be warm all week. So my goal is to run in the afternoons in the heat and then when Saturday comes around the upper 60s will feel perfect. At least that's my theory.

So after the race on Saturday, I head to Chicago for Pearl Jam. So excited. Maybe even a run along the lakefront in either Chicago or Milwaukee. Depends where I stay.

I know very little about college rivalries, but that was funny!!

Well, on that note... Morning!

No run yet. Still not sure what's going on with my left hip/leg... it's actually more at the top of the leg where the hip meets the body. I took some advil yesterday and that didn't help at all. I haven't run since last Weds. and am really feeling guilty! 16 weeks till Philly? I can't believe I am missing runs at this point. To be honest, even though the seemingly obvious answer is "go to the doctor" I have a feeling this is one of those things he will say- after several hundred dollars in xrays or evaluations- it just needs time to heal. I'm suspecting it's something to do with a ligament or tendon or something?? As I said to my sister the other day, I don't understand why I can't be left to do the one physical activity I've ever asked to be able to do!! Simple, wouldn't you think? [/feeling sorry for myself! I'll be fine!]

KJ- Feel better soon!

Nettie- don't do it! I ran a 10 miler on a really bad tendon and ended up out of running for about 3 months.

Scratch congrats on your continuing improvement.

OK, gonna try to get some stuff done. I'm starting to hear the ticking of the last few days of summer.*sigh*

Later!
