Heidi ho, thirty-o's. Back from the gym. All I could do was 2 miles running (plus .5 walking warm up/cool down). I was gonna do 3, but I was just bored! Seriously! I couldn't take it and felt like I wanted to scream. The run was actually fine- easy even. Breathing was good, etc. Just.could.not.go.farther. Gets me wondering how I'm gonna get in my LR tomorrow (should do 6 miles) esp. since I'm going to a friend's birthday party soon and we're supposed to go downdown for dancing/drinking.....

Happy Birthday Kris!!!!

Brandy as everyone else said, they can't all be PR's. Sorry it wasn't how you hoped, but like you said, just wait till Jan!

There was more, but I've forgotten and I need to get a move on to get ready for the party. We're going to Macaroni Grill for dinner first (in an hour- and I'm still in my workout clothes!) Yum!

Have a great Sat. folks!

Hello all! Back from the b'day party. I passed on going to the dance club. The deal was we had to get there before 11 or it would cost $15 just to get in + parking. Couldn't justify it! Plus, this way I can get up early for my LR outside! After stopping early today (though may have been better to go shorter before a LR), I can't skip tomorrow. I only had 2 glasses of wine even!!

Anywho, I needed to say "congrats" to Nettles for getting 7 miles out!! I'm glad you didn't have pain. Take care of the tendon, though... Woot!

Also, glad the new shoes worked out for you BigG. Isn't that awesome.

Oh, and when I was running on the TM today, I kept thinking, there is NO WAY I could go on for 8-9 times longer!!!!!!!!!! Dang, Trev. You definitely have earned my respect!! That's dedication!

Kini- you too! I couldn't believe you said you went in early for work, came home, are going to work again and still doing a run later! Wow!!

Ok, gotta get to sleep so I can wake up for the run!! I have to do 6 in the am. Oooh, reminds me. I should freeze some powerade!

Night!

Back from 6 HUMID sweaty miles. I knew I should have gotten up earlier (I did set the alarm for 7:22, but snoozed it till about 8 o'clock but just couldn't drag myself up. This doesn't bode well for tomorrow morning, since it's the first day back to work! And I want to get in by 6:30 so I can move my classroom before the freaking 4 hour meeting tomorrow morning!! Since another teacher is moving in, I don't want my stuff in there while she moves in! And they wouldn't let me go in last week to do it (the class I'm moving to is empty since that teacher left last year). Anyway... I had a nice run. It wasn't too hard and was MUCH better than yesterday's failed TM run. I saw lots of fun sites, too! I saw Pacer and a girl with a strap on! She smiled at me as I was looking at her thinking about her strap on! I also saw Brandy's dog Meagan!! (I said hi to her for you!) As I was finishing, I saw Katholeenie. Lots of 30's sightings today, I guess. I was also thinking about our boob discussion from the other day everytime a guy passed by me going the other way.... Oi!

I'm going to my 'rents here soon and we're going out for lunch. Looking forward to that! Also need to finish getting ready to start work tomorrow. It's important to have all my house chores done before I start back for some reason. I'm just getting a feeling it will be busy once school starts.

Maureen If I lived in Boston, I'd SO take those tix!! What a strange mess with that guy. Hope it gets worked out!

Melis!! You know what I meant! Take back the beak part!
BTW, which room are you de-carpeting? Have fun and watch out for those carpet tacks. They are deadly!

Ok, time for shower and then time for lunch. Later skaters...

Brandy! It just isn't your weekend is it?? When does DH come home? Oh and the part about the ants made me gasp. That would be a nightmare for me, especially since I would have stripped right there in the garage! Ants are evil.

Brandy- Frozen margaritas always count!! Ooh, carpenter ants. I have vivid memories as a child of those things living in the blinds rod!! They would crawl on my ceiling over my bed and I was so scared they would fall on me. My mom said that if I turned off the light, they would go to bed too. I did NOT turn off the light! No way!! I still don't understand why my parents didn't kill them or something. I was maybe 5? I was highly allergic (and I think I still am, but I don't get bitten very much now!) and can remember going to the hospital after standing in an ant pile in the yard when I was really little. Like I said, ants are evil. ALL ants. Oh, and I found a whole bunch of little "piss ants" as we call them (tiny black ones looking for water) crawling all over my bathroom yesterday morning! Of course, I was peeing and looked down. It was probably quite the sight with me peeing and trying to bend over and kill them on the floor at the same time! They were all over my shower/tub, too. No idea.

BTW, I love your new sig!

Just heard this on the news about a runner who died during a race. Wow. Pretty sad.
