Hi folks - just kinda' got things done yesterday, but wasn't particularly motivated about it. Hope to give LL's prize a whirl or two around the neighborhood after work.

Get better vibes to {{{{Bob's father, TimCT, & Maureen}}}}.

PTom - love how you can throw in a casual 2nd place 5K finish in the middle of a run. Congratulations! Wanted to give Noni (gotta' love when those surprise times pop up) and Maria (I know I'd be tearing up myself if I ever ran that event) their racing props as well. Also, looks like Winter's starting to crank up the pace as well - woot!

Dang, Beth - it's like party central with you

kp - the tattoo's looking really cool, and I loved your description of what it meant to you

Thanks for those pics, Duck. That turned out to be one crazy game, though the offensive fireworks weren't as plentiful as I thought they'd be.

Timr1 - congrats on the 200 miles this month. And I also like your avatar - I was a plane geek as a kid and the F-111 was one of my faves. I always liked the ones that were a bit out of the norm design-wise; my fave was the XB-70 Valkyrie.

re: Strip clubs - so can I now claim that I was going to a club simply to admire the performers' athletic prowess, or is that akin to reading Playboy for the articles?

Very funny story HH! Had something not quite as funny but still cute this Friday when I was helping babysit a gaggle of nieces & nephews. I noticed that the youngest ones were fighting over what seemed to be a chair; turned out it was the training potty from the bathroom. Plus, they appreciated how the seat would blare out triumphant trumpet sounds for what it perceived was a successful, uh, dump.

PTom - you ever consider a sports massage session or two for the calf? My PT had never seriously really focused on lower calf/legs until my last session, but he found all sorts of fun (ahem) stuff in the right-side. He said he was even more concerned about it than my troublesome shoulder/neck.

Remember, making your 13 yo a connoisseur of soap is always an option - I hear Lifebuoy is especially effective

I'm glad it's not staph, Theia - sounds pretty uncomfortable regardless, though. One of my fellow volunteers this week at the trail run was dealing with a nasty poison oak rash herself. Regardless, I hope it clears up soon

QOD - I belong to a membership gyms (24 Hour; the same folks who sponsor The Biggest Loser) where I have multi-club access. I mainly use them for the weights, the pool, spin & yoga classes, and an occasional jaunt on the TM. Most of the locations offer some kind of day care, but the hours vary depending on the size of the club.

Darn - went and tried out LL's free gadget; couldn't quite get the GPS to work initially so I just went with the HRM, but I managed to get the GPS synching with the watch post-run. So I had quite the barefoot .01 mile jaunt around my backyard - can't wait to get it out for a real run.

Beth - as a fellow toe ailment sufferer, you have my complete sympathies. Quick healing vibes to your damaged digit

Have a safe trip Noni!
