Bunny bunny, or rabbit rabbit, or whatever. Good morning, 30s. Welcome to October. Wow, time flies...

First of all, no, my new avatar is not a picture of our daughter. Maggie did not have the baby yet. That's actually me, taken about May 24, 1971 when I was 2 days old. All the baby talk inspired my mom to look thru old pictures, and she found this one and gave me a copy. So until I have a baby of my own to take pictures of, I'll use this one of me.

And speaking of taking pictures, Maggie and I finally bought a new digital camera last night. We got this Sony Cybershot. There was a lot of waffling back and forth, but we finally settled on this one. It looks good so far...

Anyway, congrats to all the weekend racers. It's always nice to see the 30s out there putting on good performances.

Well, not the greatest weekend for me. My dad was in the hospital again last week, and you all probably know. He's home now, but he's still quite uncomfortable. It looks like he'll get better, but slowly.

Also my long run on Saturday was carp. I think I've been fighting a cold or something, and it reared its ugly head after about 8 miles on Saturday. I was feeling fine up until then, but all of a sudden I hit a wall. I had to quit after 12 miles. Oh well. I took yesterday off, and I'll try again today, assuming I feel up to it this evening.

And of course the Gators lost. Not a good effort by them. Oh well, like I've been saying all season, I won't bitch about losing a game. The Gators have had quite a bit of success the last few years, and I don't want to get spoiled to the point where I think they can't ever lose again.

i know there were more, but I haven't finished coffee and I feel like hell (for me). Long week this week with more Parent Teacher conferences, "well, your son didn't turn in the first three assignments or the 100 point project at the beginning of the year so that's why he's he can't turn them in now...." oh Lord....

Also... Kris (bard), My friend Detra is a pretty new runner and we've been talking about doing a 5k together for run (not race) do you want to do it with us? Jen and Staci know D and will vouch for her...she's no turd (actually she's M.Ed. middle child hood coordinator in Arps)

Morning Peeps

I called in sick today. I was having some tummy issues all day yesterday and I just didn't want to deal today. Even though I feel better. I could use a day off with nothing to do but catch up on my dvr'd tv shows. Sadly, I forgot to set up the Office and Heroes, but I'll just buy them on ITunes I guess.

Bob, good vibes to you and you father.

Get races this weekend. I'm just glad mine wasn't a total wreck. Plus, I like the long sleeve shirt we got. I'm wearing it now.

This weekend's Open Studios was fairly successful for DH; the location he was given wasn't the best and he probably could have sold more if he was somewhere less off the beaten path, but he got great feedback, sold a couple dozen pieces, and is looking for other opportunities to show his photos. Plus, I only spent $50 so we're def ahead!

I spent a couple hours at the theatre yesterday working in the costume closet...because someone contacted me about renting our WIzard of Oz costumes. I pulled together what I could, labelled everything ("FLC", inventoried it, and either hung it on a rolling rack, or bagged and boxed it. I suspect they didn't expect me to do so much, but I don't know what is expected, so i did the best I could. Now I just have to type up the list.

Well, that was a whole lot of nothing. I'm suffering from verbosirrhea this morning evidently.

I might actually get myself to the gym today...first time in a couple months.

Have a good one...I'll check in later.

Hi all...early morning for me, darn it. I have to work in 3 different locations this week, I'm going to have a hard time staying on top of things...

Bob, glad your dad is on the upswing.

Hi Mandy!

I haven't seen a report from Maria was pretty quiet around here yesterday!

I did my 5k yesterday and am pretty happy with the results...

Have a good day, all!
Morning peeps.

It was a very busy weekend and this week is not gonna let up! Yoiks! Started out with a (free) Thrashers (hockey) game Friday. Ended with the symphony (La Bohème performance.. wonderful!) yesterday! Tonight, I've got the dr. on tap after work, a pre-season meet/greet with the Thrashers tmrw (sister's bf gave us tix!!), Oktoberfest with some friends Weds, Greek fest on thurs. with other friends, then 3 birthday parties (fri, sat, sun) this weekend. I'll probably be happy to see Mon next week!

Anywho, I was able to fit in a 5.2 mi run Sat. and then 10.5 yesterday. It was tough going the last couple of miles (direct sun beating down...) but I made it. Some friends passed me as I was going up a tough hill during that last bit and apparently honked (didn't hear it. I was busy making the hill my bitch). Hopefully I was making it look easy.

Bob you scared me with that avatar! I was furiously reading your post for the announcement and I was thinking, why is he posting?? He should be with the baby!

Mandy sorry about the PT confs. That sounds familiar......

Winter! Amazing speed girl!

And to all the weekend racers- congratulations!! I will try to read all the RR sometime today.........

Ok, gotta go get ready for work. (woot! Not!) Ciao.

Morning all.

Saturday night's Octoberfest gourmet club was a big success. The food was great (Sauerbraten, Braised Red Cabbage, Weinerschnitzel, Noodles with Poppy Seeds, German Potato Salad, Asparagus, Black Forest Cake, German Pretzels and more.) All sorts of Octoberfest beers to be sampled too. Good times.

Had a nice day yesterday. I ran 10K at semi race pace (46:44). Then watched the Phillies win. The game was almost surreal. After seeing the Phillies lose so much over the years it just didn't seem possible that they were actually winning and making the playoffs.

Took the family out for Mexican grub. Yummy.

Of course then it was back to reality for Philadelphia sports fans. Watched the Eagles put up one of the worst efforts I've seen from them.

Wanted to say congratulations to Voo, Tom and Noni for their excellent race performances. Haven't heard from Maria yet but no doubt she was speedy as usual.

Day off for me today. I'm off to play in an annual golf outing for a friend's sister who was killed in a car accident several years ago. Her family set up a foundation which provides scholarship to women's lacrosse players. My friend's sister was a very good lacrosse player. I play in the golf tournament every year with all my friends. It's always a fun time.

I guess that's all for now.

LL - Had the Octoberfest at my house Sat night as well. About 30 people or so, tons of good food, about 15 different beers (I did not sample them all, Lord knows I tried...). Had the fire pit going outside, was a perfect evening for it. Got to bed around 2:30 after cleaning up.

Let Mrs. Tim sleep in until 1 PM, because at that point I wanted to be relieved of all parental duties so I could sit down with the TV and watch my Mets follow up on one of the great pitching performances they have ever had on Saturday (John Maine took a now hitter into the 8th). By about 1:20, I was cracking open beers again. Tom Glavine, in his last start as a Met, and maybe the last start of his career, had his WORST START EVER. 7 runs in 1/3 inning. The only other time in his career that he failed to get out of the 1st inning was in 1989. I was still in college. ^&(%&@#

Great job by Voo, Scratch, Noni, and others this weekend. I need to run more.
Good morning everyone.

I'm guessing Bob needs a hug after a lousy weekend and today being Monday and all. {{{{{ Bob}}}}}

Maureen, have a good day playing hooky.

maccabeth is going to need to come up for air sometime this week from the sound of things.

I spent about 4+ hrs at a local pumpkin patch with the girls yesterday afternoon. Pony rides, slides, bike maze, picking pumpkins, feeding goats, cows, llamas, snacking, and finally a hayride to pick apples. After all that I was not about to make dinner so we stopped for eats at a new place. Afterwards, we all crashed hard! Good day.
Great races this weekend, will finish reading reports in a bit...

Hope you feel better Maureen, and nice work at the theatre.

Roo, so glad I never had to sit through parent conferences and I was always happy to hang out with the teachers at the bar and listen to 'em bitch.

Didn't make my run yesterday, and today's was less than stellar - but I at least made it out the door, in the rain.

here is the latest pic of my tattoo. Only thing left to finish is the center, and some small touch-ups, but since it's healed enough for the colors to really show through I thought I would go ahead and post it.

Morning My Pretties.

I've decided that i'm going to run the first part of the race course this morning. I figure it will put my mind at ease and give me a good idea of how to strategize this part of the course. I'll run up the valley and then back down. It will probably add up to about 4 miles.

The weekend was not bad. I kept my promise to be a good girl on Saturday night. I didn't overindulge at that 40th Bday Party. Good for me!
Apart from hockey, we went apple picking and then crisp making ensued. Yum.

Here we go:

Where the heck is Scratch? Did he fall into a vat of yogurt?

Roo: My dog ate it! hee hee hee

Keriksen: Are you evah gonna dream about me? Eat more Goat!

Crane: I'm glad you get so much out of your running.

Nice camera boB. Prayers for relief for your {{{Dad}}}

Maureen: Verbosirrhea is my middle name. Which was a real drag growing up. You can't imagine all the names kids called me based on that one! Not to mention how difficult it is for a 5 year old to spell. Sheessh!

Beth: You Nasty Party Girl!

LL: Happy Golf!

Hi Jill.

Great running gang! You did us proud this weekend!

Wow! Kp! That's awesome! and the tats not bad either. Love the colors!
I didn't drink any to celebrate, but I still feel almost punchy and woozy at seeing the Phils clinch the NL East yesterday. A fellow at another board hooked me up with a download of video of the final pitch and subsequent celebration, and I still got chilled when I watched it this morning before leaving for work. It's hard to explain, but baseball was the first sport that I loved when growing up and it's been so so long since 1993, the last time the Phils had made the playoffs.
Thanks Winter and I'm glad you think the tattoo is nice too!
Sounds like fun! Do you have one picked out? The only weekend I expect to be out of town between now and Thanksgiving is the last weekend of October.

Speaking of running, I packed my bag today to do a 3 mi run after work. However, I discovered while walking to my office that I'm not totally recovered from Saturday's run yet. My left foot, which was one of the few parts of my legs that didn't hurt that day, is actually kinda sore along the outer edge. So, instead, I think I'll go shoe shopping.

I had a pretty fun weekend myself. Went up to hang out with my family, got to see the Buckeyes and the Browns both win. I love football.
{{{Bob's Dad}}}
Feel better Moe, glad to hear DH's show was a success.
Wow Beth, you do have a busy week coming up!
Nice ink, KP!
hi Winter
Jill, which pumpkin patch did you go to?
Hey Scratch.
Good Morning Kris!

I need to catch up on the RR's from the weekend but good job everyone!

I ran 3 Saturday afternoon, I would have like to run more but didn't have time but they were a good three, I'm getting back to my previous speed I think.

Saturday night was a blast in NYC. We drove in with my best friend since 2nd grade and her husband and met up with Mariaand J at the brazilian steakhouse. I have never ate so much meat in my life and I really need to stay away from Sangria, it kicks my a$$! We had a great time but I was feeling it most of yesterday so I didn't get a run in.

K, off to read the RR's...

Heather, we went to Strawberry Acres.
Hi Colleen!

Maria: How did it go?
good morning everyone!

my greeting is way more excited than I feel. I slept like crap and had some more night sweats thingys. Very annoying. Because of this, I did not get up and do my 10 with 5 at pace. I will be doing that after work. blah. I went to the gym yesterday and had a pretty good work out. I am a bit sore today in the chest area though.

Bob - You gave me a startle too! I thought for sure that was THE BABY. Way to wake us up on a Monday morn!!!
