Bunny bunny, or rabbit rabbit, or whatever. Good morning, 30s. Welcome to October. Wow, time flies...

First of all, no, my new avatar is not a picture of our daughter. Maggie did not have the baby yet. That's actually me, taken about May 24, 1971 when I was 2 days old. All the baby talk inspired my mom to look thru old pictures, and she found this one and gave me a copy. So until I have a baby of my own to take pictures of, I'll use this one of me.

And speaking of taking pictures, Maggie and I finally bought a new digital camera last night. We got this Sony Cybershot. There was a lot of waffling back and forth, but we finally settled on this one. It looks good so far...

Anyway, congrats to all the weekend racers. It's always nice to see the 30s out there putting on good performances.

Well, not the greatest weekend for me. My dad was in the hospital again last week, and you all probably know. He's home now, but he's still quite uncomfortable. It looks like he'll get better, but slowly.

Also my long run on Saturday was carp. I think I've been fighting a cold or something, and it reared its ugly head after about 8 miles on Saturday. I was feeling fine up until then, but all of a sudden I hit a wall. I had to quit after 12 miles. Oh well. I took yesterday off, and I'll try again today, assuming I feel up to it this evening.

And of course the Gators lost. Not a good effort by them. Oh well, like I've been saying all season, I won't bitch about losing a game. The Gators have had quite a bit of success the last few years, and I don't want to get spoiled to the point where I think they can't ever lose again.
