Felt that was appropriate given the Oktoberfest love around here So I was gone most of the day yesterday but I did run the Tunnel to Towers again and it did not disappoint. Such a cool race. I'm working on a short RR and will post when it's up. I decided to run to the start and then run the 5K so I ended up with about 11.5 miles for my last double digit run until Chicago. Today is some recovery miles and a much needed massage.

Congratulations Norah, Colleen, Maureen, Tom and EQ!! I’m heading over to read some RRs now… Oh yes and big congrats to Kris on the mileage PR, wooo hoooo!

Jill – I missed your hash report; how’d it go?

Myron – welcome to the wonderful world of Wii!!!! Be prepared to become an addict and sore (if you play the tennis game the way I do – full on)

Voo - I've followed your lead ...bought me some new shoes over the weekend that will be traveling with me to Chicago. Legs were aching more than normal this past week and when I went to check out the #s on my running log it was quite evident. I burnt the shit outta my shoes this time around. Come on Nimbus 9s - momma needs a big PR!

QOD - I use the gym pretty regularly; attend spin, strength/total body classes and sometimes an abs session. If the weather is spectacularly craptastic I may run on a TM too but I try to limit that to a couple times a year. I also swim laps at one location.

PSA - caught the new flick The Darjeeling Limited yesterday and would def. recommend it to those that like Wes Anderson's work. It's quirky, funny and entertaining but odd ...in a Wes Anderson-oddball way.

ha! During the Tunnel to Towers run yesterday many non-runners had their baggage tags (sticky like a sticker to go around a bag) slapped on their backs, fronts, wherever in addition to their bibs. I only giggled for a second and then immediately felt guilty about it.

Tim/CT - what the hell is that Diet Coke doing in that shot????
