Back after a weekend of traveling to the in-laws –

I got 10.5 bee-yoo-tee-ful miles on Saturday – the weather perfect for running - and another eight miles last night in similar conditions.

Brandy – sorry to hear about your unsatisfying race (just read further – make that weekend). Keep in mind that both you and your DH have been putting in quite a few miles lately – PRs mileage-wise for both of you if I recall correctly – you’re going to lose a lot with respect to leg turnover by doing that. Once you’ve had a chance to properly taper though you should be much faster – both of you. It’s hard to train for more than one goal race at a time – just have faith in your training plan and you’ll be rewarded in the fall.

Welcome EQ – you’ll soon discover that this is a great group.

Welcome back Myron, Lori and Tim.

Happy (belated) Birthday Kris. It sounds as though you had a good one.

Melissa – the TM 18 miler went well – it’s all mind over matter – like Satchel Paige once said, “If you don’t mind, then it don’t matter.” I just go out and do it. To me it’s neither better or worse than running outside.

Voodoo – thank for that truly disturbing run report. Thank you very much. That’s all I got to say.

Big Gahoona Jennifer – I’ve run in Brooks Adrenaline too – they’re pretty nice shoes, but I’ve discovered that when they go, they go quickly.

Nice photo of the kids Tom.

That's Ok Katholeenie - don't post a photo, I'll just have to go with my mental image then.

Moe – here’s a suggestion for tonight’s class:

No QOD yet?

Good runs to all.

Well, in response to your question, it is definitely something to be worn at an adult tap class.

So, what's your record? I have one too - set it 19 years ago.

Crap, now I'm feeling old too....
Heh. I get smacked with that reality next year.

Mine was for most varsity letters won - I had 14 when I graduated HS - 4 cross country, 6 indoor track and 4 outdoor track.

A general resume observation - I never read past the first page. Anyone can put their resume on one page. If you have something more that you MUST tell me - find a way to bring it up during your interview.

That's true - the practice in that whole science-y, doctor-y field has you writing books instead of a resume. I've never been able to finish one of those things.

Very nice throws. I may have cleared 30' in the SP once just kidding around in practice.

In my school district grades 7-12 were all in the same building and, therefore, the Jr. High and the Sr. High track teams practiced together. I guess the Sr. High track coach had an eye for talent, so I ran varsity beginning in 7th grade....

The oreo thing made me remember this - Friday was my anniversary and Amy made dinner at home for the two of us - the kids were at grandma's house - kind of weirdto be home alone. Anyway, dessert was a ginormous homemade tirimisu - 16(!) servings worth. Amy tried it and didn't like it so the whole thing is mine. So far, from the look of it, I've gone through about 10-11 servings and will likely finish it off tonight. In fact, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I can understand that you were young once, it's the second part that has me confused.
