Nice morning for a run drove up to Bois-des-Filion/Rosemere and got in about 11.5 miles. Lots of nice long uphill side streets to get in some hill work.

SS, that girl has a very strong voice.

Gro you think the trails will be ready by next week-end.

Nice day for a run. It was a bit windy though.

Good running with TB on Ile-Notre-Dame.

The half marathon hurt like a beotch, but I'm happy with my time. 1:39:36.

Me and TB went out nice and easy for the first few kilometers, talking the whole time. We were around 5min/K for the first 6 kilometers. At 7K we split up. I tried a slightly faster pace to see how I felt but after a couple kilometers, I decided to slow it down to 4:45. I held that for most of the middle section.

At 17K, I thought I could gun it all the way in...I picked it up to 4:20 and held it for about 2 kilometers before blowing up. The rest was survival.

It was a fun day out and I'm glad I had the chance to run with TB for a while!

Had lots of fun today

Accompanied Linda on her 5km and she was able to set a new PB - 37 min woohoo!

Despite my cold, I decided run the race. It was nice being in a race with over 2000 people. Had the pleasure of running with KZ and ran for with him for a bit before he moved on. I had resigned myself to running 4:50-5 min/km.

Had side stitches at the 17-18km and was forced to slow down. Meet PS at the 20km mark and he urged me on to a sprint finish. It was good to know that I was able to shake off the side stitches wih the final hurrah.

Ran 1:43:17

Details of run:

http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/e...kValue=5448998

In summary, I enjoyed the race despite side stitches and the cold. I'm looking forward to more training runs.

Headed off to Toronto for the next two days.

Best of luck to Merc and Gag

TB

Good job TB on being conservative... Hey anyone find TB's results? I can't find them on sportstats.

Ran 40 minutes this AM thinking about those montreal half runners... Hope it helped. Went out to buy butter for the banana bread I'm baking this afternoon and ended up downtown in a chinese restaurant... Needless to say, I ordered enough to have lunch for the next two days.

Enjoy the rest of the day/weekend...

Congrats to the Mtl racers ... looks like some nice times ...

I am so tired ... hardly slept last night. Then I went to train with a friend ... we ran 6k together ... after a 45 km cycle, 'cept my bike is at least 5 lbs. heavier than his. My old bike is steel, his is magnesium.

Yawn ... but now I have to go swing dance a few hours at a birthday party ...

But first, a bath and then a nap ...

Congratulations guys - job well done - great weather, thought of the racers this morning as I headed out the door early. Wish I could have participated again this year but the training was simply not there.

TB - have a good week, don't work to hard.

KZ - are you doing the Ottawa marathon ?

Sally - napping, oh oh...you know what happens when you decide on a wee nap

Grollies - sounds like you had good runs.. -

Weekend over already ?

Félicitations, TB and KZ for your halfs. Still 6 hours until Boston starts. Will fill the time with work . Have a good week

Not feeling good this morning. The cold is has gotten worse. I have a persistent dry cough that bothers me. Ugh... I want to go back to bed. Body is sore and stiff considering the lack of stretching (okay stretched the jaw muscles at Reuben's for their hamburger). This is the price I pay for having pushed so hard.

Long day ahead and spending this evening and tomorrow with the client. Hope I don't cough all over them.

My thoughts are with Gag and Merc and BF.

TB

TB: Hey, if a half marathon didn't make your cold worse, I would have been seriously impressed!

Df7: If you asked me yesterday if I was going to run the Marathon in Ottawa, I would have said, "No way in Hell! This running business hurst way too much." Today, though, after a short jog watching the sun come up and calculating possible pacing, my answer is a definite, "Yes!"

As of 10:50 a.m.
Merc 10K: 44:22
Gag 10K: 48:45

Go guys go!

Lance: 41:09 (Let's start some drug rumours)

From what I can tell, he is finished, congratulations Merc, despite the aches and pains, you do it again, can't wait to read about it .

Congrats to Gag and BF, all done, just snuck another peek at the site, I am at work. (Beat me to it Roly)
Anyone besides KZ running today ? Lovely weather to be outdoors...have a good week all - fly
