I swam 2700 yds this morning. During the intervals (THANK YOU NICOLE!!!) I managed to get my lap time to under one minute for 4 laps straight. I was proud of my self! Then I nearly puked.

That's 13,700 yards this week (I think). Wait, no. 13,200. Sorry - I can't add. Anyway, it's a lot freaking yards (for me).

For those of you looking out for me, THANK YOU. I PROMISE to be smart about my knee. I am not even going to think about running for at least 3 more weeks. Cycling is a different story - but I am still going to keep my distances short and keep it at an easy spin. Swimming is my sport for now and I am going to embrace it just like I have running and cycling. I am unable to NOT go full force in something, and swimming seems to be the best bet for me. While it is not the same as running or cycling, it still makes me feel good and will sculpt my body in different places. That sounded kinda dirty. LOL

Sisu, I have been seeing a chiropractor at least twice a week for about a month. She does graston/ART and specializes in athletes. She has definitely helped my ITB and it's not hurting where it used to. I do have some leg length discrepancy due to tight muscles and we have really worked on that.

My DH is taking my bib in the bike tour tomorrow - I am definitely backing out of the 63-miler. (duh!). I'm registering for the 12 mile family ride. I will MAKE MYSELF enjoy it even though 12 miles seems hardly worth suiting up and hauling all my shit up to Katy. But just getting my bike stuff on will make me feel better. If the knee feels good, I'll ride a little farther, but I am going to be SMART. I PROMISE. And then I'll probably swim when I get back to town.
