That reminded me of another excuse to add...on one side of the track I had to go all the way out to Lane 3 (gasp!) because lanes 1 & 2 were completely submerged...so really that would take my pace down from 5:35 to probably 4:52 or somewhere around there.

OK - now I'm feeling better about myself! Yay me!!

Hey what are the distances for the outer laps of the track? The one I plan on going to usually has some really fast intense looking people on it, so I will likely have to occupy the outer lanes...that's how it works right?

Voo...great on getting an appointment this week! But can you hold off on the running, just in case? I know it feels better, but.....?

Switching some stuff around this week, so I just got done 6 easy.

Voo - glad to hear you got an appt this week.

Yeah, every once in a while I do that just to spice things up a little. Running around the track can get so boring if you just do the same things every lap.

Today's easy run was on the TM. I only had time for 2.5 slow miles, but at least that was something...

7 miles. Was supposed to 8 with some intervals but I got out of work too late and had garmin issues, but is was a nice 7. I'll take it. Goal this week is to be consistent.

Maples - things will get better.

Ran for an hour. 5 minute warm-up, then VO2 max intervals - 10x(2:30 at 5k effort, with 2:30 recovery jog). Then a 5 minute warm down.

Ended up with 8.52 miles in an hour. Last time I ran the same workout, I ran 8.1 miles in an hour, about 3 weeks ago. So I'm definitely improving. Although to be fair, the routes weren't the same, but they were similar, it's all in my neighborhood, so the terrain is about the same.

Nice work there Myron. You're going to be so ready.

Me on the other hand, I just did an ez 7.5 mile cruise around my 'hood w 7x Strides (20 sec / 40 sec recovery). Ended up with 1:01:06 (8:06 pace).
