Good morning everyone.
I'm back at home base and enjoying being with my guys. Eddie's been a little out of sorts this week (we have him on antibiotics, so that may be it), poor guy. And I'm happy to have tomorrow off, plus part of Sunday! Then I fly to Jackson, TN next week for one of my last work travel trips.

LL, that must have been so hard on you. I'm glad the boys are feeling better this morning.
Altoids, yay!
Dan, glad the snow is disappearing.

Have a great day, all.

Good mornin' and TGIF!!

Looking forward to the weekend, although I will spend tomorrow in CPR/First Aid recertification class. Last week's blizzard forced me to take this weekend. I will miss a planned FA fun run.

Dan- I noticed that the Pig has a course change this year. Also, Pump and Run is now available for marathoners, too. Are you up to the challenge?!?!

Weather improving here, too. Last night's temps was in the mid-40s allowing a run in shorts. What a liberating feeling!

Have a nice day, all.

Good Morning All,

The boss is out today and it's beginning to look like a nasty day to work. Because I'm the one left in charge, I just might take the group out to an off site meeting. I'm going to have to think on that.

Happy Trails,
Rob

Morning all

Going to be like spring here, to celebrate this I got a large iced coffee... yummy!

Finally Friday!!!!

Divaleh- i think i saw it a while ago. I went back to camp maybe 4 or 5 years ago for a reunion, it was a blast!

Altoids-- welcome back! glad you enjoyed the game. I love hockey games.

We go to the American Flatbread in Middlebury. It's where there "factory" is for packaging up the breads they sell in the stores. On Fri and Sat. nights they're open for dinner. Cool place and a good atmosphere, the kids and we all love it!

Good morning!

TGIF and TG for my one-class Fridays. I didn't sleep great last night but I slept in a little this morning.

I am trying not to worry too much about my tender/achy knee. I know it is not "injured," just cranky. Based on how today's easy short run goes, my coach and I may revise Sunday's race to a run ... we'll see.

Before I get to the office I have a HUGE load of stuff to drop off for recyling and at the thrift store. Little by little I am getting through my closets, etc. It feels like I am throwing my life away, but not in a bad way.

Oh, so y'all don't think I am just talking about me!

meri, how are you? That is a very cool love story and coincidence about your friends. Thanks for sharing.

divaleh -- hang in there, just a few more weeks. I saw "Indian Summer" way long ago. I always wanted to go to camp as a kid, but never did.

altoids -- glad you had such a great time at the game.

luckylily, that's a relief for you that the immunizations went all right.

Dan & roots, what is Pump and Run?

Ah, I didn't realize there was also one in Middlebury, too. That's cool

This version is where Dan's going to do the bench press (x% of his weight) as many times as possible. His total, added to his marathon time, will result in a net score. There is a separate competition.

The Pump & Run is an event normally a 5k and a bench press of your weight. The max score is 20 reps and each rep equals 30 seconds off the 5k time.

Like Dan inferred, it's torture for us weakling distance runners.

Wow, a person can take a LOT off their time that way. I'm sure that wouldn't count as an official race time, would it?

I can picture rows and rows of benches set up at the start ...

Morning All!

Meri - that story about your friends is awesome! I love stories like that!

LL - Glad the boys are ok! I was thinking about that last night.

Dev - Not too much longer as the great road warrior! It's got to be driving you crazy!
