I like a good physical ball game. My favorite Pats teams were not the high flying offensive teams like this one, but the bigtime defensive teams at the start of this run of theirs. (See, for example, Willie McGinest constantly mauling Marshall Faulk in SB XXXVI.) I just would have liked to have seen either offense make a play in the first three quarters. 4th quarter was spectacular though.

Easy there. I like Tom Petty's recordings, and I saw him live in 1992. It was easily one of the 3 or 4 best shows I've ever been to, but he was getting long in the tooth even back then. Last night he looked and sounded worse than Willie Nelson did. I thought "Free Falling" (which I love) was going to grind to a halt. Some musicians age gracefully (e.g. BB King). Most just become Bob Dylan or Tom Petty.

Me too. I'll trade you some of mine for some of yours.

Tom Petty fans - he's kicking off his upcoming tour right here in Grand Rapids.

Howdy gang!

I dont know if I can add to whats already been said about the Super Bowl. Im just glad the Giants won. I wish I wouldve TIVOd the game to go back and see Tom Brady on his ass so manty times. I felt bad for Junior Seau. The only reason I wouldve like to have seen the Pats win is for him. He coulda went out on top. Didnt bother me a bit to see Teddy Brusci ( the cocky, arrogant ex-Arizona ass ) lose

Started my PT for my back today ( finaly ) The therapist says there isnt any reason why I cant return to running when this is over with. Thats a good thing! Small world as the therapist attends the same church that I do. That and I saw one of my old high school crushes doing PT this morning.

((((( Lori ))))))

Moe the buy in on that squares game was 100 bucks.

GoV- stories like that are sad. I'm glad that no harm came to the GF or her mom, but that man should have been in treatment for PTSD. Things never should have gotten to the point where he was suicidal. The current presidential administration and military leadership has really dropped the ball when it comes to the veterans who come home from the war with psychological problems.

He's probably afraid of getting fired by Roo!!!

I have a theory -- Petty is Dylan's illegitimate child. Not sure if the ages work out, but I'm sticking with the theory. Just. Freakin'. LISTEN to them.

I saw Tom Petty last year. I really like his music so I had a great time..however, he didn't have the best stage presentation, lacked connection to the crowd and the whole thing was very "staged". He actually released his set list prior on paper....very odd. oh yeah, and the petty fans in front of us were in their mid 40s and smoking crack.

VA has sucked for a loooong time, not just under W. Just like highways, there's no political sex appeal in maintenance.

There's also the formality of asking for help. It's not like they make you go in for a psych eval periodically.

Eeek!

I actually have a funny, similar story from the Petty show I saw. The stage set was pretty elaborate, and its centerpiece was this huge storybook-looking tree that had a door and a set of stairs. About 3 or 4 songs into the first set, the aging hippy couple in front of us pulls out the biggest fatty I've ever seen and lights it up. Not two minutes later the door of the tree opens and a guy dressed in a lizard suit comes out and delivers Tom's hat. You could see the hippies' eyes open really wide and hear them thinking, "Dude, what's in this stuff?!?"

Mee, meeee! Course I don't on a regular basis lately. Might be time to start keeping my eyes open a bit more.

They just started a similar type class at our church, but logistics don't work out for me, but I really could use it. Trouble is I have the head knowledge to handle my finances, I just don't always have enough "stick-to-it-evness" to follow through (like the 401k from my last job that I still haven't rolled over to my IRA or my new 401k or at least rebalanced).

Ironically, the last 5 minutes is about all I watched of the game. I was getting started on installing a ceiling fan and had other stuff on the tube while getting stuff together. Amazingly, I did it! ALL BY MYSELF! It only took my about 3.5 hours. I usually get a friend or my Dad to help or at least watch and make sure I don't screw things up too bad. You know Tim The Tool Man Taylor from Home Improvement? Well, I make him look like Norm Abrams or Bob Vila. Yeah, it is bad enough that my MIL gave me a shirt once that said "If it ain't broke, I didn't fix it". If it weren't true, that would have probably strained our relationship. LOL.

Seriously! What the Hell is going on here?! 4 pages?! 4? That's it?

fine...

How the hell are ya?

I rented that place. It's very Clean. And lovely. And so close to my ex, I'm gonna have to put some curtains up on the fence to block his view. That will be good for the kids. They can come and go between the houses if they need to see either one of us. At least for a little while.
