100% Agree. I was surprised at the way they did that. I truly thought that they were going to have to move on to the next round immediately. It'd be nice if that person were to win one challenge (hasn't won one yet), but even better would be if that person WON IT ALL! I'm totally rooting for that person.

Or that the Apocalypse is about to take place!

please take note the

BUTTERFINGERS HAVE LANDED!!!!

He totally turned on Ryan during that vote last week, but he tried to make it like he was doing it for Ryan's own good. "We want him to leave with dignity... so we're voting him off." What the FRIG was that? Ryan's face said it all. He was totally shocked and crushed. Meanwhile Nicole was sobbing her face off. You know it was all Neil's idea.

But the dynamic of the game means that eventually you'll need to turn on your teammates as well. Why not do it strategically? This is applicable to all of these reality shows in which the participants vote each other off the show. I have never understood why the contestants are (a) surprised and (b) take it so personally when one of their team members turns on them. That's a part of the game.

I understand that, but Neil's reasoning was just so lame and bogus. Ryan would have been booted if it came to a tie. He knew that, and everyone knew that. I don't understand Neil's logic. By voting off his teammate, he allowed him to go home with dignity?? Where's the dignity in having your teammate vote against you vs. losing a tiebreaker??

It was just Neil's way of, again, playing the game but trying to make himself look like the innocent I-don't-want-to-do-this-you-know-I-really-hate-it guy.

I agree with and totally <heart> Brandy and Big G for their opinions of Neil.

I personally think that Neil's reason for voting for Ryan was simple. He's gone now and you didn't vote for anyone still in the house..someone who most certainly would have taken it personally.

Just because I understand the logic, doesn't mean I agree with the decision.

Good Morning all,
I'm struggling to wake up this morning after a fine celebration last night. long day today, work then running then water polo till 9:30.

That sucks, but its funny, they went on strike when I was in Paris too. I was on the train at midnight, the clock struck twelve, and the operator stopped the train in the middle of a tunnel. We had no idea what was going on and were really confused to see the operator go walking past the car with a briefcase. WE had to pry the doors open and walk the tunnel to the station. Luckily it wasn't far.
QOD - Shopping blows
Hi all - my mind thinks it's Tuesday, but I know it's Wednesday. Arrrgh, too many things to do before flying out early Friday morning (including a haircut)

Scratch - I know how things can turn on a dime like that; hopefully you'll find another dime and things will turn back 'round for the better.

ColleenJ - $0 car repairs? Strike or not, I hope you're having a fab time there kj!

Gonna' actually try to be mega-productive at work, so I'll probably be scarce today.

QOD: never have, though I might try it once just for the heck of it. Funny tangent - I remember a local TV station piece on the phenomenon, and they were interviewing a guy who was going through his first shop at midnight experience. Turned out he was on vacation from Canada! (Maybe he was a year early, considering how much the Canadian dollar is kicking the U.S. dollar's padoobies these days)

See, now I think Neil has done a pretty good job of eliminating the competition. He probably still needs to get rid of two of Kae, B and Bill, but he has set himself up nicely if he can work his padoobies off in the final three (if he gets that far).

hey all!

quick check-in at lunch -- i'll be back later...

KJ - deepest sympathies to you and your family.

And if that weren't bad enough- I paid $12 today for a box of 10 "lady supplies". Paris prices suck.
Had to shed some humor on my mood by sharing that! Ramsey[/B]- that story is hilarious. Someone is always on strike here.
